The Fuji Finepix M603 Is An Excellent Camera Overa
The Fuji Finepix M603 is an excellent camera overall. I have recommended it to many of my friends. One of my friends said it is much better than his much more expensive camera.

Really Good Point And Shoot Camera Bought A
Really good point and shoot camera
Bought a 128 & 256mb xd cards a while back but was not very happy to find out Fuji have brought out updated xd cards which does not support this camera
I'm not sure if larger size compact flash 2 will run ok either instead of using microdrives which are old technology

I Have Owned The Fuji Finepix M603 Camera Since Ma
I have owned the Fuji Finepix M603 Camera since March 2004. I photograph mostly insects and I have found the macro facility more than adequate for most uses. Picture quality matches more sophisticated cameras. Video clips in 640 x 480 are nearly as good as digital video. Just needs better zoom. Pity an updated version of this camera was never made.

The Fuji Finepix M603 Camera Was 13 Months Old Whe
The Fuji Finepix M603 camera was 13 months old when it stopped charging and the red light just kept flashing.
Fuji refused to repair it for less than £151.00 as they charge £99.00 once they open it and find the fault they told me.
The same fault re-occured after 10 months when it was sent off again.
This time a refurbished model was sent as a replacement free of charge. We understood why it was called refurbished as the screen was quite badly scratched but we needed the camera for a birthday and a wedding soon after.
Fine until the wedding which happened to be in Jamaica. Exactly the same fault as the camera refused to charge and the red light just kept flashing. We'd even bought a new battery for £24.00 to be safe.
This camera was 7 weeks old.
We didn't get any pictures of the wedding or our holiday except on our mobile phones.
Now its been sent to Fuji again and we have asked for a NEW camera.
Perhaps we are just unlucky with this camera model but I wouldn't buy Fuji again simply because of the customer service attitude.
You can get a decent digital camera at a quarter of the price which will probably last a lot longer.
You can see why you get a twelve month warranty.
Why should we have to pay for an extra guarantee, especially on expensive goods.
My son bought a digital camera for £60 and three years later its still working.
Wake up Fuji or you won't have any customers left!
im having the same problem with mine.. although i haven't sent it in for repairs... :( i got the receipt and extended warranty and paid $759.00 cdn two years to the day of it stop working..
im really not looking forward to not having a camera for 8/10 weeks and having to pay for the repair..
if they aren't willing to replace my camera chances are i'll never buy another Fuji Camera again.

I Think The Fuji Finepix M603 Is A Camera That Doe
I think the Fuji Finepix M603 is a camera that does certain things very well and it's up to you to decide if those things are what you are seeking. In my case they were. I'm not interested in a viewfinder so the oversized screen that this has instead is great.
I wanted video quality film capability and at 30 frames per second this gives it along with up to large scale storage using the IBM Microdrive...though the media cards are enough for most things to be honest.
The dual card format is a good idea, just having the option gives you that little extra control.
It does have a little more plastic in the body than I'd like, but isn't totally flimsy.... except the media card port cover which is pretty poor, fortunately you don't need to access it all that often which is a good job. Should have done better Fuji... there's no excuse.
The shutter lag is bad, I know digitals are prone to this but I mean it's REALLY bad on this camera. Posed shots only and forget any action unless you use the sequence mode or film it as a clip.
The camera comes with a nifty screen cover and a screw on handle to aid stability....I can't say you really need it but it's a good idea. The case though won't fit the camera with it attached......DOH! Shouldn't have to buy a bag for a new camera Fuji.
A better than 2X zoom would have been nice.
In short, the bad points are just down to bad design and Fuji should know better....but if like me those bad points don't get in the way of what you want the camera for then what it does do it does really well.
I wanted mine as a small, easy to carry camera with high quality film clip capability for fairly close subjects that were mainly indoors. And it copes well with what I ask of it...just don't ask much more.

This Camera Is A Freak. The Fuji Finepix M603 Has
This camera is a freak. The Fuji Finepix M603 has so many excellent qualities yet for some reason Fuji has not taken the M603's excellent features into later models. Where can you get dual media slots? I currently have a 1Gig microdrive plus a 256 X-D Card. This is great and I can't wait to get bigger cards in the future. The 2.5 inch LCD is luxury. Without exception people compliment me on the size of the LCD and the quality. It has beautiful colours and is easy to view, even in very bright conditions. And surprizingly even with such a big LCD the battery life is excellent, and yet there is an optional battery with twice the life. And the camera is very easy to use whether you are taking photos or downloading to your computer.
COME ON FUJI - make this camera again, with a 3x zoom and 5 megapixel picture size and you will have produced a truely outstanding camera!!!!

I Have Owned A Fuji M603 For Nearly Two Years. It
I have owned a Fuji M603 for nearly two years. It was very expensive when I purchased it. I think the price has come down a lot now. The picture quality is outstanding and with a choice so many settings. I still haven't learnt how to use it to its full potential yet. But I'm very pleased with it.

I Have Owned This Fuji Finepix M603 Digital Camera
I have owned this Fuji Finepix M603 digital camera for over a year and although there are hundreds of new models available I find no need to upgrade. I own an early Epson 1 megapixel model which is a backup (the kids use it). IT cost over £230 - £10 less than the Fuji M603. The Fuji is excellent. It saves photos quickly and has a useful zoom and macro mode. The video mode is 30 mins with a 1Gb microdrive - this was given FOC in the £612 package from QVC, and this is adequate for my use. The Video looks fine on a 15" monitor. The Fuji M603 will fit in your pocket, it holds both the Xd card supplied and ANY compactflash card (incl. microdrive)and I've tested upto 256Mb that holds 400+ 3megapixel photos. The Epson goes flat in <10seconds, the Fuji WILL go flat eventually, but it takes so long that I have never noticed how long.
After using the Fuji I would not even look at another brand. They are excellent.
