Lo posseggo da diversi anni e devo dire che stato uno dei migliori home theater mai prodotti in quella fascia di prezzo...ottima resa sonora, superba poi nei sacd...molte regolazioni e design accattivante. Dopo 1200 ore di lavoro ho fatto sostituire l'ottica ed tornato come nuovo.
Adesso mette male trovare un prodotto della qualit di questo...l'unit principale un vero e proprio amplificatore dove potete collegare qualsiasi cosa...quelli di adesso invece non hanno molto da offrire.

I love the sound the Sony DAV-S550 produces and the strait punch from the sub that the newer ones just don't have, hence the reason I have kept it so long !, it's been faultless from day 1 and lasted me about 5years so far !

Looks great, it's a stylish LITTLE unit that for the original price I paid in 2003 was a solid all-around system. It's super easy to set up, provided you aren't color blind (which my boyfriend is, so I do the DVD/surround set up after a move). It worked great for about 3.5-4 years. In that time I had it at college, it got knocked around, packed up and moved every 6 months, turned up too loud, abused by roommates, you name it. It held up really well, few scratches, no blown speakers.

If you're looking to buy a used, refurbished, or even a new one that may have never been used... I would advise against it. It won't keep up with the changing consumer video scene, and it is destined to die in the ways described above. I've read it over and over again...

For so huge amount of money, so poor equipment, especially for Sony. After only 200hour of working in six years, the end sond modul was failed. Total costs for repair are over 200 '.
Sony - never again.
