“Decide's first full length album, the self-titled...”

    ★★★★☆

    written by Dreadlocksmile on 20/08/2004

Decide's first full length album, the self-titled debut was released on Roadrunner Records back in 1990. The production is somewhat disappointing, lacking in the depths of the Glen Benton's bass, although the production does manage to capture the raw sound of Deicide, which carves its way through your stereo.

Deicide offer up a feast of Death/Black metal, preaching their satanic devotion in a musical mayhem of light-speed guitar thrashing. The tracks race through with burning riffs and screeching guitar solos as Glen Benton roars out his dark lyrics. Glen's vocals are impossible to follow as they race by, but opening up the CD's inlay releases the blasphemy of each track.

    The tracklisting is as follows:
    1. Lunatic Of God's Creation
    2. Sacrificial Suicide
    3. Oblivious To Evil
    4. Dead By Dawn
    5. Blaspherereion
    6. Deicide
    7. Carnage In The Temple Of the Damned
    8. Mephistopheles
    9. Day Of Darkness
    10. Crucifixation

All in all, the album is full of a dark brilliance that you can't help but immerse yourself in.
