I downloaded Drukqs a while ago, about this time last year.
I'm not a big fan of Aphex Twin, but I do like some of his material - generally I find the slower, less complex varieties to be better.
Make no mistakes - when you pay for this album you get very good value for money. There are two CDs making up thirty tracks in total - but be warned, I did not find this album to be a grower in any way.
It is likely that the tracks you like from the offset will be the ones that you continue to like…

I struggled to think of any bad point for Aphex Twin, Drukqs. I purchased this album a few years ago for listening to while on holiday.
This album shows some of Aphex Twin's best qualities such as his extreme ability to create complicated electronic music and his ease of mixing genres together. Most Aphex fans know that this album is essential to own and I would recommend if you have never heard any Aphex Twin to buy Drukqs first. In terms of contrast between songs Drukqs comes out in 1st…
