just got back from Spanish med granduer of the seas, what a fantastic ship it was like a floating five star hotel. The staff all work very hard to keep you happy for the entire break. The room attendants were fantastic ours was called MIguel and our room was cleaned and tidied twice a day. The resturaunt was fab the food was 5 star Carlos was my head waiter and Leo his assistant again the service was faultless. The formal nights were good also bit worried as to what to wear for both nights as didn't want to over dress or be under dressed, we were dressed for as if we were going out for a very posh meal and that seemed to be what most people did except from the tuxedo gang but everyone looked so lovely it was nice. On the casual nights again smart clothes which was nice to see everyone made the effort m Some men wore suites some shirt and ties ladies in dresses or trousers. we visited Barcelona, Ibiza, Malaga and Gibraltar it was a great cruise will definitely cruise with royal carribean again, bought a drinks package but felf that the drinks were quite strong so next time I won't bother. It cost about £65 for me and my husband to drink a beer package and a spirits one, the kids had a soda package for £19.99 agin won't bother next time as unlimited drinks all over the ship for everyone to drink anyway. You don't shave to dress up every night you can go into the windjammer and have a self service meal again fab food too much choice at breakfast lunch and evening meal.

“After 16 years of marriage, my husband and I booked...”

After 16 years of marriage, my husband and I booked our first cruise for Sep 05. We choose Royal Caribbean because it departed from Baltimore at 5:00pm, was a 5 night cruise and the destination was Bermuda which we heard was quite beautiful.

Arriving at the port at noon, we were comfortably on the ship within 15 minutes and having lunch soon after that. Our room was available at 2:00 and we were pleasantly surprised. Friends and family offered opinions on how small the rooms would be, and it was, but still had a queen size bed, full sofa and vanity and lots of storage area. We were quite impressed.

The days at sea were great, plenty for all to do on the ship. We spent 2 days in Bermuda which was wonderful. The scenery was incredible, the beaches were the most beautiful we had every scene. Yes, the sand is pink! The Bermudians were so nice and helpful and St. George's had the best shopping. We really enjoyed being able to stay and really see the island, instead of jumping from place to place. We highly recommend this type of cruise.

The staff aboard the Grandeur was fantastic. Our cabin steward catered to our every wish, the wait staff was excellent, the Captain was very friendly, every employee on the ship was a pleasure.

As far as food, breakfast and lunch were good, but we did have one big disappointment, dinner!

We either went to breakfast or lunch at the Windjammer each day. Breakfast was good and there was something for everyone from cereal to full service omelets. Lunch was very tasty with a variety of sandwiches, salads and hot entrees. Dinner was another story. We ate each evening in the Great Gatsby. Again, the staff was excellent and the table was beautiful, but that's where the "grandeur" stopped. The menu was never exciting i.e. fried chicken, roast turkey, tilapia (very cheap fish), sea bass, etc. Where was the gourmet which we assumed was part of the price per person we paid? Fresh tuna, a decent steak, crab cake, not that expensive when purchased in bulk! When passengers go to the trouble of dressing up each evening for dinner, could we at least get a more upscale meal?

All in all this was a wonderful trip and we will definitely cruise again with Royal Caribbean and only hope the dinner budget increases.
