This Car (porsche 996, 2003 Model) Has Let Me Down
This car (Porsche 996, 2003 model) has let me down a number of times. For example, the engine had to be replaced after 50,000 miles, and so has the navigation system. Various oil leakages caused me to visit my dealer too many times. Porsche also proved to be very mean when a problem occured shortly after the 2 year warranty (which I find very short when you know that you get 7 year warranty on a Kia!).
Agree entirely on your comments on "The Porsche Attitude" when things go wrong, (GPS also in mine) and for the garantee! After 4 Porsches, I have finished with this company, due to reliability problems and especially the the mentality of the After Sales Service (there is none!). The only thing left in favor of this car is the esthetic quality and that is not enough anymore, when one reads lots of letters on the web such as this one, it is clear that Porsche is losing ground, competitivity and respect! When I complain that my car jumps out second gear, they say that it is the way I drive (after 4 Porsches and circuit racing!!)Good luck to all current and future Porsche owners, I'm changing to something more reliable and a company policy which is more helpful and less dishonest.David
