J.R.R. Tolkien, The Silmarillion review - As a massive Lord of the Rings fan this book is a major disappointment. If you want to read an encyclopaedia read Britannica instead, reading this book is just like reading an encyclopaedia but everything is rubish and and doesn't even remotely focus on middle earth.
That's an opinion though, as a major Lord of the Rings fan I'm interested ine verything Arda has to offer, of which Middle-Earth is a part, in this book gives every background information on an already fantastic story you could wish for.
