APH Gatwick Airport Parking

Had to cancel my trip from Gatwick owing to sudden onset of gastric illness. Rang to notify APH and was told I would lose all the fee I had paid them to park because I had not given 24 hours notice.

Very punitive terms and conditions..

It is impossible to speak to anyone when you have any issue with your booking.

expect to be kept on hold for over 1 hour and when the phone is answer they just hang up.

horrible customer service. i have used them several times in the past and was warned about the customer services when you have any issue.

will never use them again and make sure warn all my friends and family.

We left our car with APH Gatwick while we were on holiday for 10 days over Christmas 2011 and when we came back there was a long (1m50), deep scratch down the side of the car. The scratch was definitely man made (it looked like the car had been keyed).

Unfortunately the car was frozen over, so we only noticed the scratch once we had got home and the ice had melted.

On complaining to APH, they said there was nothing they could do as we didn't spot it before we left. Whilst we were stupid not to check, you would at least expect them to check CCTV (which the website claims they have), which they refused to do.

Also worth noting is that they drive the car offsite so you do not have clue what they do with it on the road.

To be fair, the people on site & the drivers of the buses to the airport were very friendly and polite... it is just a shame that failed on the main point... keeping the car safe!!!

Summary: DO NOT USE THESE JOKERS!!

As it was the first time we had used APH car park and there was a traffic diversion in operation on the M23, it was a little difficult to find in the aph car park....a slightly clearer APH sign at the nearby roundabout would help; but the facilities were good, staff were pleasant and it was good value for money. i will use them again....

Directions to parking very good, very quick drop off and on to bus in 15 minutes. Very helpful driver. Only comment is that the drop off at Gatwick, bus stop 6, is quite a long way from North Terminal departures or arrivals. Good return trip with driver noting crash in local area and using 'local knowledge' to avoid the traffic problems and get us back in reasonable time. Car collection and loading was no problem.

AVOID!

After a few successful stays here I thought a scratch down my other halfs car door was an unfortunate incident, probably caused by another driver but after my latest encounter I have my doubts.

On my return my car was absolutely filthy, covered in the thickest layer of dust/dirt I have ever seen. Seeing as my car had been through a car wash only 10 minutes before leaving it there (so any new scratches would be obvious) I was furious at the state it was returned to me in. It also raises serious questions about where cars are being stored in our absence. No amount of dust from fields would explain the caked on dirt so clearly it was not stored at the onsite compound with all its reassuring cameras and fences!
