“Great service”

★★★★★

written by haHarris465 on 27/09/2023

S23 Ultra, only 6 months since launch. The first try failed, and they refunded with no issue. A couple of weeks later was told their "supplier" was able to get codes now, so I tried again and was happily surprised a couple of hours later. Great work all!

“Gave me a full refund without asking”

★★★★★

written by on 10/01/2023

I was trying to get my phone unlocked through my wireless carrier but they were not being cooperative so I ordered the service through freeunlocks.com, but before I got my code from them my wireless company finally relented and unlocked my phone for me. I emailed freeunlocks and told them I needed to cancel my order because I was able to get my phone unlocked. I didn't ask for a refund because I didn't figure I was able to get one since my cancelling of my order had nothing to do with the service I was receiving from freeunlocks, but they quickly sent me an email to confirm my order was cancelled and voluntarily offered me a full refund right away. I'm honestly shocked and very happy about their professionalism. If I ever need another phone unlocked, I'm definitely using freeunlocks.

“Super fast!”

★★★★★

written by wheels2022 on 03/11/2022

After days and days of trying to get my former and current cell phone carriers to unlock my phone, and often being lied to in the process, I went to freeunlocks to make my phone functional again. Within minutes of the order, I received the code to unlock my phone. FreeUnlocks saved me more hours of wrestling with the soulless cellphone/cable company.

“Since when is $29.99 a “Free Unlock”?”

★☆☆☆☆

written by DAdams2205 on 05/04/2022

If you’re no longer offering Trialpay and only charging $29.99 through PayPal or Stripe you need to change your name, because last I checked, $29.99 does not equal free. Your now one of the many paid unlock services, nothing unique about you except the blatant misrepresentation your name gives.

“Fair and transparent communication”

★★★★★

written by VladimirNT on 26/11/2021

I was trying to find a way to unlock my Pixel 5 from Verizon network lock. I am in Finland, bought it from US ebay, so after checking around (also with Verizon) and with FreeUnlocks I am now 100% sure there is no good way to network unlock at least those Pixel2+ that are having OEM lock if you are not located in US physically. The guys refunded me as they would not be able to unlock my item, which I treat as very good of them. Communication was also quite smooth, so I think it is 5 stars service (accepting payment only when the issue is fixed is really important!)

“Took my money and I got nothing”

★☆☆☆☆

written by Cpljames on 05/05/2020

They sent me an email saying they couldn't give me a code for my phone AFTER taking my money. I asked for a refund and got no response. I'm currently contesting it with PayPal. It's only ten dollars but they shouldn't be allowed to do this.

“It works! ”

★★★★★

written by SarahMcCormack on 03/04/2020

I was worried that it wasn't going to work, that it was a scam but I was proven wrong. It was simple, easily navigated, the price was $9.99 which converted into £8.74. Delighted to get the phone working and upcycling a product that was otherwise destined for landfill.

i would advise everyone not to use these robbing people, charge you £14-99 to unlock your phone but tell you they cant get a code and the price goes up to £49-99. there meant to be quick, well thats a joke as they dont keep in communication until you contact them again and again to see whats happening. absolute waste of time

This website first claimed that I would get results instantly which I did not. After waiting for over 1 hour the finally messaged me and told me they are unable to provide me with an unlock code. Bunch of BS. I want a refund in full and have requested one. I will escalate this if I don't get my money back and they want none of this. Waste of time and money don't do it!!!

“Unlocked within a day”

★★★★★

written by Evelin1975 on 10/09/2019

Like many, wasn't sure whether to trust this but with paypal pay after delivery, I had nothing to lose as I could dispute the transaction if it didn't work. After the order, my status said "waiting" so I was initially worried as I thought it would be instant. My code arrived by email about 20 hours after the order. And it worked! Now I can give my old O2 phone to my son with his ID Mobile SIM card. Recommended

Save your money and use these. No more leaving with a shop, standing around waiting and paying silly money for such an easy process that you can do yourself by just entering a code.

“Worked Perfectly !”

★★★★★

A friend gave me a HTC Desire 510 which was on the Cricket network. Cricket wouldn't unlock nor release it. I saw Free Unlocks on line, paid the $10, and they e-mailed me the unlock codes. Worked perfectly ! I installed my sim card for Consumer Cellular, and now I have a great phone on a great network. Try it ! For $10 or free, what have you got to lose ?

“Fast service, but didn't work”

★★☆☆☆

written by CashMcWilliams on 18/06/2019

The code came through quickly and the experience of getting it was pretty painless, but none of the solutions offered worked. Was not able to unlock the older HTC One M8 that I was trying to revive.

Our apologies that we cannot unlock the phone with the generated unlock code. The unlock code generated as per your unique IMEI # that came from the manufacturer. There is also a possibility that the service provider changes the unlock code after it has been shipped out from the manufacturer, which accounts for 1% of the total IMEI #.

Contact us to review and issue a refund without delay.

Yes, go through the process of unlocking for free, with free-unlocks, which worked for me, I can't remember what I had to do exactly it was a while back. Or you can take it to the original provider, in some countries by law they have to unlock it for free(Canada for one) and other, they'll do it for a fee.

I went back and checked, I still can't remember what I did, but I got 2 emails from them, my registration confirmation when I signed up, and the unlock code, barely 15 minutes later. They don't promise that speed, but that's how fast it was for me. and it is (( freeunlocks.com )) I accidentally put a hyphen in my first comment

You can ask the unlock code from this company, and after pay the cost of sending several codes by PayPal. It takes maximum 24 hour. And after you can type the unlocking code on the screen of this phone, and restart it.

I have only used them once for a Vodafone locked Huawei phone. Looking back at my email trail, they did take about 24 hours to respond with 3 unlock codes. The first one I tried worked fine. From what I can tell from their web site, it can take longer than 24 hours for some makes of phone and it depends on how quickly they can get the codes from their source. Give it another day or so, they will answer your email if you contact them - Try Customer Support.

Open dispute / chargeback like me. They lie to me that will give me code in 12-48 hours. After 72 hours I send them email regarding it to provide me with code or full refund, and they didn't respond for 2 days now. So best option is to open paypal dispute.

Yes. But only if the phones registered owner contacts his cell provider and is able to verify his identity as the puk lock is usually only activated after the owner of the phone has reported to the cell provider that the phone has been stolen or lost. So unless u lost the phone and found it after calling the cell company....so the short answer is nope. Before u buy a phone run it thru an imei database cause u have an ipod touch at most now.

Yes, depending on which phone you have, it will not actually present you with a convenient method of entering the code. In many cases, you have to press a key combination to bring up the key entry display. To find out how, you can search Google for instructions on "enter unlock code on " or something like that. Just replace with your phone manufacturer and model #, but without the "< >". If you would like to put the phone information in this area, I can look for them instructions for you and post a link.
