“poor service”

It took them 2 weeks following my order to let me know that the blinds l had ordered were no longer stocked, advising of another colour of the same make. They were then sent out as promised - but the advised colour was nothing like their picture and also sent the wrong fixings (l ordered face fixings and they sent top fixings). I had to ring and she said "are you sure they are top fixings" and about the colour "that's why we advise colour swatches", also when l said they don't reply to emails very quickly - l got told there were over 180 emails waiting and only so many staff and computers!

“TERRIBLE COMPANY WITH NO CUSTOMER SERVICE”

Ordered blinds in march and had not heard anything about order so called on 12 April and was told there was no problem with order ( company had taken lots of orders over Easter?) and I could expect delivery week commencing 16 April. Just received email 15 April informing me that fabric I ordered has been discontinued? What a total waste of time. MY ADVICE IS TO USE ANOTHER COMPANY AS THIS ONE CANNOT BE TRUSTED.

“Product not as described, poor quality, unreliable company”

The first time I bought on the site, the blinds were not as described.They were of poor quality and did not meet the specifications, they should have been easy clean but they turn into pink when I tried to clean some tiny spots with water. When a couple of years later I got fed up of seeing them always dirty, I contacted customer service so that they could advise me about how to place the order to get the same (or similar louvres) to the ones I had. I have to explained twice the same request because it seems they were not reading the request. Then I followed to the letter their instructions and I received the wrong blinds. Their website was faulty, the advise was wrong and yet they rejected to refund or replace the order. All in one, a very disappointing experience, a waste or time and money.

“Diabolical Delivery Service”

Two sets of blinds were ordered on the 18th December 2015 with me paying extra for their speedy next day delivery service to avoid them arriving whilst we were away for Xmas. Today, the 5th January 2016, I am still waiting for their delivery, there having been two occasions when their courier failed to deliver and one whereby Vertical Blinds Direct forgot to actually send the blinds to their couriers for delivery. It seems that even when providing such a shoddy delivery service, the couriers time remains more precious than the time of the customer as Vertical Blinds Direct will not deliver them to suit my commitments despite the failure on three occasions to deliver as promised. I am expected to sit in all tomorrow waiting patiently for the courier and if I can't do that, Blinds Direct suggest that I ask a neighbour to take them in on my behalf. I think not! Can I find a positive to this p. p. performance? Yes, on my suggestion, the transport costs are being refunded whilst Vertical Blinds Direct have offered a 10% discount off the cost of the blinds. I would have gladly gone without any discount and paid my transport costs to have not endured three wasted days waiting for blinds that never arrived.

“Great Service”

Very quick service. Had a problem with the length of the louvres, but on contacting the company, this was put right immediately (even though it was my measuring that was wrong) and new ones were sent the same day. Only ordered louvres at first as already had headrail, but on receiving the louvres, it appeared they were not compatible with my old headrail. Rang company and this was also sorted out immediately, they even sent extra louvres and weights free of charge! Very easy to install - would definitely use this company again.

“Do not buy from this company”

I placed an order on 17th May 2015 for 5 sets of vertical blinds, I spoke to the person I dealt with who was so friendly and helpful and I felt confident that I had ordered from a reputable company. Two of the sets had a face fix bracket and the other three had top fix brackets, the top fix blinds fit perfectly and I was very pleased with them but the face fix were too short. As I had had to give the recess measurement when I ordered them it was entirely their error so I telephoned the company and spoke to another person and explained the problem, I was assured I would be treated as a priority customer and my new louvres would be sent out in 5 working days, that was over four months ago. I was falsely promised many times over the following couple of weeks that my blinds were on order, one of the Customer service staff - One man was extremely rude and discourteous to me, he spoke to me as if I were stupid I have never been treated so badly by a company in all my life, they eventually stopped answering my phone calls, the live chat and e-mails. Luckily I had paid for the blinds by MasterCard and I contacted them for advice, they took up my case and I received my money back from them but no correspondence or apology at all from Vertical Blinds Direct.

“Good quality, fast delivery”

Ordered for 7 windows at one house with blackout louvres, and 4 windows at another house with coloured louvres. All arrived within 5 days, well packaged. The products were easy to fit, and on one window that turned out to have a metal lintel they provided free of charge a further set of brackets and weight chains free of charge. Customer service pleasant to deal with. Quality of product was good. Blackout blinds did what they were advertised to do. One downside (if you can call it that) is that you can't specify custom colours so have to go with the ones on their website (large enough selection), but would be nice to have that option.

“disappointing”

Placed order for living room blinds, incl. patio door. Unfortunately, didn't request sample to check colour but having purchased similar blinds from other sites, relied on website photos. On receipt, blinds were totally different from expected shade. Instead of 'stone' which I've always assumed to be a 'neutral' shade,I have peach-coloured blinds in my room. On questioning this colour with the Company,Quality Controlstates they have supplied what I requested. So - if ordering from this Company, request SAMPLE before purchase!!

“Paid upfront, fobbed off.”

On the 30th April I ordered, and paid up front, for new blinds for our new bungalow. After several telephone calls and being fobbed off by being told that the blinds would be sent the following day, we have been very busy and are behind with the orders. The latest response was that the blinds would be dispatched on Tuesday or Wednesday (26/27 May) to arrive with me the following day. Today, 25th May, Email received to say that the material I ordered is out of stock and will not be in until the end of June. I have spoken to different people nearly practically every time I have telephoned and have been told a lot of untruths regarding my order. This is a company to stay well clear of. The box below asks for a rating for Value for Money, well the value for money is a big MINUS as they have my money and I do not have any blinds or any chance of them in the near future, if at all.

“3 weeks later and i'm still waiting for my order”

i ordered vertical blinds with headrail and replacement louvres for my patio doors on 8th april on a 5day despatch. had an email on 16th saying there had been a delay and would be despatched in 5-6 working days. i contacted them on 24th expressing my concern they replied later that day apologising for the delay and they could see that my order was due to be despatched late next week! tried phoning to enquire and just kept on hold forages so hung up. not happy, i've spent over £100 on this.

“Avoid this company”

Their products are cheap and nasty and their customer service team are a waste of space. I spent nearly £400 on blinds and rails. I sent them a list of my complaints, mostly about the tatty and sub standard rails, and photos. Their standard response didn't refer to any of the faults I'd listed. Dreadful quality and a waste of my hard earned money. Do not buy from this company!

Ordered blind on basis would be despatched next day. after 3 days I had to contact them. To cust a very long story short 8 phone calls, 4 emails and 2 web chats later still no one can tell me where order is and what is worse no one has said SORRY. 2 weeks on i am so angry Kept waiting for ages then get a home worker who hasnt a clue and has kids crying and dogs barking

“Impossible to contact, no customer service - still...”

Ordered replacement louvres for a vertical blind on 19/11/14 via website. Website crashed at time of payment so I didn't get an order number. They took the payment though. 5 phonecalls and 3 emails later I am still being told they have no customers with my name, address or postcode - yet they can't confirm with accounts that they have my money. A week later someone finally figures out that I have used their old website and what I have ordered they no longer stock. They agree to order in the fabric and complete the order with delivery in 7 days. Accounts department then refund my money out of the blue. Another attempt at contacting customer services and I pay again over the phone, being told fabric is coming in Weds and louvres will be sent out for Friday. Nothing turns up. After leaving answer phone message and email, the one person that seems to know what is happening phones me back to say she is trying to find out what is going on. This has been 3 weeks now. If blinds have not been made i will be asking for a refund and going elsewhere. These people were £20 cheaper and did not charge for delivery but the hassle is off the scale!

“Absolutely Brilliant (with a small caveat)”

I ordered a 5 sets of blinds from Vertical Blinds Direct. I requested that the louvres should be alternate colours. Unlike many companies that tell you to order a set of blinds and then order extra louvres (at extra cost of course), Vertical blinds direct accepted an order with an email request to change half the louvres. As these were from the same range, they did not charge any extra for this, making them the cheapest supplier by far. The only down side was they took 10 days not 5 days to arrive..... but they were very helpful and customer service jumped on the case and informed me of every step in production following my call about late arrival. So, minor problem, but exceptionally happy with the way it was resolved. The manufacturing quality is excellent. Good materials both in the headrail and also in the louvres. Simple to fit, and look astounding. I have chosen alternate back and white (Both from the aspect colour solutions range) louvres throughout and they absolutely finish off all the interior decorating I have done on my house. Not only would I recommend them, I already have; I believe my parents will be ordering from them soon. I will be ordering a further set of blinds for my kitchen soon. I cannot say more than excellent (even if a little off on first estimated delivery time)

“Worst experience ever”

Ordered blinds for same day delivery on Thursday. It says order before 12pm on their website for same day delivery. Didnt arrive. There excuse it didnt make the shipping sorry- I should have ordered before 11am- -----FALSE ADVERTISING. I call to cancel my order on Friday, a Manager calls me and tells me I can get it to you for Saturday. I say if you can do that fine, i'm trusting you dont let me down. No delivery on Saturday. I would never recommend on use this company unless you have weeks to wait for order

“Great Product at an affordable price”

Received the item as ordered and described within 5 working days, well packaged with full instructions. Easy to assemble and install. Just need a drill and screw driver for top mount or wall fixing. Slight disappointment with the chains which were too short for the number of slats provided. However, a quick email and response sorted it with new chains supplied by return. All ends happy. Looks great and very affordable with the online discount offered. Good communications. No other issues. Would recommend and buy from again.

“absolutely awful”

Odered a blind and set of louvres, both 120cm drop, its the only input you can make. Took a week to deliver, OK, hung the 1st set up OK, second set too long. Asked them to put it right, get fobbed off by a person called [name removed], the [name removed] that there is a measurement guide that you have to go into. I used it you go in, it states at the top that drop is the vertical height of the window, this is what I used and input, however got wrong length. It turns out that further down the guide theres a part that asks you to input length for louvres only, however there isn't a length option to input, only drop. Hence I input drop and low and behold they send me 120cm length not drop, no good. The rubbish website is to blame however the thats not what really bad, its the custmer support team who pretend that that website doesn't ask for drop that wins the absolutely awful prize from me. Please do not use them you will only be dissappointed if something goes wrong and have wasted your time and money

“not made to measure, go else where”

packaging ok, reasonable delvery, but too short and not cut to our measurements consequently they look rubbish, checked with customer support (contradiction in terms) sent off photos again and again, made to feel like we are lying, will never buy through them again and have replaced them with, BLINDS DEPOT VERTICAL BLINDS, no problems no hassle made to our measurements and excellent value too! SO if you want the best products and great service go straight to Blinds Depot
