Customer Service...impossible To Cancel Or Amend Order

I like gadgets on this site - they are v.cool. However the website makes it difficult to place an order into your basket, then go back and alter...you basically need to fill in all the information, including credit card number all over again. This is very annoying and eventually to order several items (and make sure all price compared) etc, I had several windows open. My error, I ended up ordering some goods I had intended to delete, by mistake. Now the website warns that if you want to cancel or amend an order, to contact customer service without delay, as may already have been sent to dispatch centre. This implies something can be done about it. However this doesn't help if you order on a weekend..the customer service is not open on the weekend. I sent an email immediately I realised my error (within 5 minutes of receiving my confirmation) and rang the customer service 9am on Monday morning. I was told very nonchalantly 'too late'..and recieved what appeared to be a rehearsed speech. However I didnt actually receive confirmation that my goods were dispatched until Wednesday evening. Its ridiculous that there is no communication with the dispatch centre or opportunity for intervention...72 hrs is more than sufficient time to cancel or amend an order. These goods have now been sent over 300 miles, and I will need to return these at my own expense. I am also legally liable for these goods until they are returned. I am very annoyed at this inefficiency, cost and inconvenience to the customer..basically its sheer laziness on the part of pfm to simply not bother to assist in these issues. I also become suspicious of a company that only publishes positive reviews on their website...

Such Small Stuff

I had a mixed order delivered this morning. Hot dots were good. Shewee is as described but crystal deodorant and fresh drops were SO small as to not be worth bothering with. It makes you feel taken for a ride to get stuff this small. Can't be good for future business. They might give the correct info about volume etc on the site but the brain says it will be at least reasonably sized and they are not.

Clearly Old Stock -- Should Not Have Been Sold

rose scented sachets for clothing drawers. No smell to them at all -- very cheap -- 2.95 for 3 sachets -- now I know why. Also paid on 7th of the month and not despatched until 16th. Email comms when pressed on the issue of no receipt simply advised it had been posted and I had to email again to ask when. Rubbish product. rubbish service -- postal charges high - total rubbish.

Over-priced goods generally and high postage, and you'll have to wait --- don't use them.

Birthday Present For My Father

I ordered a book (Fork Handles the Bery Vest of Ronnie Barker) on 27/12/2013 and received it on 2/1/2014. To me at this time of year I thought was very good delivery. I will definitely be looking through your brochures for other gifts for members of my family. Thank you once again.

I ordered two presents for family members for Christmas and we'll within time, one arrived perfectly the second didn't, I wasn't emailed to warn me the item was out of stock, I was told a letter had been sent. I didn't get a letter and why on earth you'd send a letter over the festive period I don't know. Full amount has been taken out of my account and apparently a refund cheque is in the post.

Lack of communication is the most annoying thing here. I wouldn't use this company again or recommend, I'd use not on the high street or similar, if I was told it wasn't in stock I could of made other arrangements.

Truly Appalling Customer Service

I order two items in November for Christmas. One item, a pair of gloves came quickly. When it arrived it was clear that I would have paid significantly less for a similar pair in a high street shop. My mistake for not doing my homework.

The second item, a box of Christmas crackers with bells inside did not arrive. After another two weeks I phoned and was told it was out of stock and was on back order. I asked why that was not clear on the web site and why no one had e mailed me to warn me. No reason was given. I explained that the item was a gift for friends in Europe and so I had to have them by the 13th of December to get the last post. Last week they had still not arrived I sent a chasing e mail. The response "the crackers are now obsolete, we will not be getting any more".

Thanks for that caring message, and thanks for not even bothering to let me know. My message to you is my custom and anyone else with any sense, you will not be getting any more!

To anyone thinking of buying from this company, my advice is go elsewhere and save yourself money and a headache!

Received the presents for men xmas catalogue last week. I phoned up and bought the addictaball maze game. They were helpful and friendly and the game arrived in about 3 days. I would use them again. They were recommended by my wife’s friend who has shopped with them for years apparently.

I Found This Site When I Was Looking For A Birthda

I found this site when I was looking for a birthday present for my brother. Although it's called Presents For Men though they also have loads of stuff for girls. A bit confusing. I ended up buying my Mum a present as well for Mother's Day.

The website is nicely laid out and clean. Easy to find my way round. They have a really wide range of stuff on there so you can window shop for quite a while. They had a great video on their homepage of what goes on behind the scenes when I order. That actually reassured me as they are obviously a big outfit although I hadn't heard of them before.

My order went through fine and arrived in 3 days. Really happy with it.

I'd happily use them again but shouldn't they be called Presents For Men and Girls?

Well you were very lucky and a one off because my experience with this site 6 months later is a complete different story and could be qualified as the order from hell. Ordering online wasn't too difficult apart from trying to select an alternative delivery address then you are stuck, but my account got debited straight away, the email I sent in response to my order confirmation apparently got lost, a courrier claimed to have turned up at a wrong address and also got my own signature from a neighbour who never met him, all in all never got any of the goods I paid for (order of £300) and non-existence of customer care either by email, by fax or by phone as they keep promising to get back to you and eventually drop you a pathetic email one month later. NEVER ORDER WITH THIS CATALOGUE OR WEBSITE (PRESENTS FOR MEN, PRESENTS FOR GIRS, ESSENTIALS as they all belong to the same company)or you'll loose your hair, your voice and your wish to live...
