We bought a Racing 6224PR Ultra-Compact Rear-Collect Ride-On Mower. From mow direct and its cheap Chinese product ive had problems flat tyres only to discover the weld in the wheel was bad and spikey also rusty. The customer service is Apalling and I wouldn't recommend this company also they inly allow positive feed back on their site as ive tried twice now and its not up I'd look elsewhere as we feel we're stuck with it

All started so promisingly when dealing with a polite and helpful lady. Consequently an order was placed for the RACTEA90-2 ride on mower. The delivery people were very polite but as this is nothing to do with MowDirect this doesn't warrant another star. When the item was offloaded and taken out of the cage, the problems started. The tractor would start without a problem however it wouldn't drive forward or back. I spoke to a man who advised me to remove the chute at the rear of the unit and to apply the foot to the brake to allow for the drive belt to be replaced. this was duly done. I was offered £20 compensation for my troubles and also informed that this had happened to someone else only the day before. This doesn't offer much confidence. However the machine drove for 20 yards and the belt came off again. Now being no expert on these machines I rang back and spoke to the same person who gave a few options, 1 they would send another belt from another tractor to attach. 2 they would send a replacement. To me it was clear that sending out another belt wasn't the answer and that during this period the grass was going to grow at an alarming rate. I therefore opted for the 2nd choice, a replacement as this machine wasn't fit for purpose. This is where the person I spoke to told me to consider another lawnmower that was another £600 dearer as I had bought the budget version and this was the cheapest machine around. He clearly didn't understand the term not fir for purpose as he claimed the lawn mower didn't meet my requirements for purpose. The conversation then took another turn when he said he would arrange for a kerb side collection of the item and that I was expected to lift the tractor onto a pallet. I explained that this was a ridiculous comment to make and not feasible due to my health condition. I was quickly told that this isn't there problem and that it falls with in there terms and conditions. By now I was a little aggrieved by his tone and not accepting of his thoughtless request, I said I would have a field day on social media with this company. Now somehow this has been construed as threatening behaviour when all I would be doing as I am right now is reporting factual information relating to the service I experienced. I eventually agreed to attempt to get the lawnmower on the pallet when the courier company arrived. I also requested a speedy turnaround as they wouldn't offer a replacement until the faulty machine was returned. They would look to see what could be achieved. By now this person was taking everything personally and saying that he had done everything he could to resolve the matter and I was wasting his time, That was rich coming from someone who clearly didn't understand my needs. The final straw came when they decided to send a courier out for collecting the item and that they would now refund the money as they didn't want to deal with me. I would urge anyone that want to consider dealing with this company to think long and hard about giving up your hard earned cash so easily as to add insult to injury, I wouldn't receive my refund for 14 days after the return. This I am afraid is unacceptable.

I too have taken delivery of a RACT90EA, in May. The machine has started on one occasion. Likewise after speaking with technical support, was told to order replcement parts for the supposed problem, Also the same experience as you, that they were not dispatched and an offer of a repalcemnt mower model at additonal costs was given.Just the same I am being given the run around, and unable to get phones calls or email returned. Incidently, do you have a note of the serial number of your returned mower?

Bought a machine for over £400 in March and notified them straight away. They promised a replacement and made me wait until October to get one. When the replacement arrived it was either the same machine or another faulty one. They are now ignoring my calls and emails. I still do not have a working machine. Avoid this company at all costs.

My father bought a ride on mower on 5th June, it was delivered on the 17th June damaged. Looked like it had been bashed around had loads of bent bits and body damage. Emailed them straight away and followed up with a call. Told they would arrange a collection. Wasn't collected until 28th June after numerous calls and emails. Fobbed off with guy is busy training a member of staff or not in or in a meeting and nobody else can deal with it. We requested a refund. Got email to say it had been inspected and a refund would be issued 5-10 days. It's now 16th July and no refund. Always get fobbed off with an excuse. Only one finance person and he's been off ill. It's getting a joke. I wouldn't recommend them. Since writing this review I have been fobbed off again. Saying the money will be in his account in a few days. Don't trust them.

I placed an order for a ride-on mower and a mulching kit. The mower turned up as ordered. The £150 mulcher that was delivered was clearly used and second-hand. The cover that had been promised did not arrive and the manual was for a different mower. They do not answer the phone and have ignored 4 emails. I have now passed the matter to my credit card company to reclaim money. Thanks goodness the problem wasnt with the mower itself !!!!!

It was a big mistake to deal with this company before having read the bad reviews. I ordered a lawn mower because I need to mow my lawn. The web site says delivery in 1-2 days. After six days it turned out that the order had not even been dispatched. I wrote to cancel the order and received no reply but an email to say that the order had now been dispatched. The tracking number is not recognised and there is no sign of the mower. I see from the reviews that I am not alone in experiencing these problems. I advise potential customers to keep well clear.

Order cancelled this order before shipping on the 13th July have been told three times I’d receive my refund. They don’t answer customer care number you need to ring sales. Im claiming back through my credit card company. Avoid.

Next day delivery promised if ordered before a certain time, that didn't happen, nor did I ever get a response to my query regarding this. Customer Service is non existent. In addition, the mower that we ordered, which was a ride on, has a design flaw..... The basket that catches the grass requires you to tilt it up when unhinging it from the mower, which means all the grass that you have just collected all falls out anyway and requires you to pick it up regardless. We do have a few issues with the motor/blades getting stuck and cutting out, this happens regularly. Overall, I would have not wasted the money on this product or with this company

I was struggling to replace my previous mower with the same model, as it was out of stock everywhere, so I decided to take a chance with a different make. The service from Mow Direct was amazing as the machine arrived at the crack of dawn following the day it was ordered. I also sent an email asking about the various grades of oil which I already had available to use and Instead of just replying to this, I received a phone call, which I consider to be excellent customer service. Absolutely delighted with the machine which is really well built. Have just used for the first time and excellent cut with easy to use mower. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered a chainsaw with safety helmet in April, still no safety helmet. No real information on likely delivery and not managed to contact by phone due to automatic hangup.

I ordered a Mountfield 394PB mower for its 125cc Briggs and Stratton motor and I was pleased when a parcel was delivered within a few days. However what I actually received was a Mountfield 41 mower with a 100cc motor. I appreciate that we all make mistakes and that these are difficult times but I am disappointed that, despite sending emails and leaving phone messages, I am still waiting for any kind of reply. The lack of contact is very disconcerting and I feel that I have no option but to leave a bad review in hope of eliciting some kind of response so that this matter might be resolved PLEASE.

I purchased the Outback pizza oven after doing a bit of research into what I needed, this one seemed the best value. I was not disappointed! It was relatively easy to assemble and instructions were clear and precise (written in understandable English too!) The service I received was excellent. I was kept informed and it was an overnight delivery I was amazed at speed from order to receipt. I haven't used it yet but it seems a reasonable quality and I am looking forward to giving it a workout! The only thing I would have liked is a bit more instruction on its actual use but I guess that's why we have YouTube!

Ordered 2 items (tractor trailer and tractor cover). Was sent two separate DPD tracking numbers of which the tractor cover turned up relatively quickly. As for the trailer, well no indication of a delay was given to me at time of order. The provision of a tracking number for the trailer would indicate a near pending delivery. Sadly not. I called customer services 5 times, only for the line to automatically hang up saying they were too busy to respond. I left a voicemail which wasn’t responded to. I sent numerous emails to customer services before I finally had a response, updating me on the product I’d already received. Not the trailer. I’ve now had someone indicate my trailer is 4 weeks lead time, but I’m yet to have a response as to whether that’s 4 weeks from order, or time of update. But I have had another 3 marketing emails asking me to buy further things from Mow Direct since this began, and another mail today indicating my tractor COVER will be delivered within the next two days, although I’ve already received it Delays at this moment in time are inevitable, however it takes a 2 minutes to update customers with order progress. I run a Sales and Marketing team and this type of service would not be accepted. Bought the more expense items such as the tractor itself elsewhere.

Purchased the product in good faith and arranged a delivery date of the 14th May. On the 14th May the goods did not arrive. What is the point of setting a delivery date? I never received any correspondence why this was not delivered on the agreed date. Appreciate that at present some deliveries may not be on schedule due to Covid-19 but if you arrange a set day for delivery with the supplier of the goods you would expect if it cannot be delivered on that day that you would receive some correspondence which I did not despite phoning the company at 16.00 (answerphone) and sending an e mail for someone to contact me. Customer service non-existent I am afraid.

6 weeks with no communication Admission of failure of suppply chain and dispatch Zero customer service - I have been fobbed off. Automated false despatch notices and no sign of goods in courier logistics chain I’d avoid until they can get their act together unless you want to wait until post summer for any goods

Ordered a Mountfield lawnmower which arrived within 5 days. On arrival the box had been opened and small part missing. Emailed Mowdirect about this and got one word reply ‘sorry’. Sorry doesn’t replace missing part and they don’t seem to care. They may have a fast delivery and be in contact prior to delivery thanking you for your custom and assuring you of great service but forget about any after sales care unless ‘sorry’ is adequate for you.

Don't suppose you made note of the serial number. I received this exact model on 9th May. Been given the run around, as the machine started on one ocassion on delivery. Been promised the same as you have mentioned, including a replacement of another model at an increased price. Seems coincidental?
