After 20+ hours of lessons every thing going great on time nice and polite. instructor said I was ready to book test, which I did carried on having lessons to be told day before and on the day that I would fail,to change test date and have more lessons,had me in tears twice shouted at me. Im a strong person could handle it but if it was some one not so strong think they would of quit.passed my driving test just want to warn people that this certain instructor seems to want to get as many lessons as possible and not put u though test.

Maybe people should think about how they drive in a logo covered car, especially when advertising a driving school!! Was harassed by a driver of an 'Around the bend' car, who then went on to tailgate another motorist. Would put me off recommending them! :(

After numerous attempts to pass my test, including with independent instructors and others at Around the Bend that left in a short space of time I went with the person I dealt with (also of Around the Bend) on a friend's recommendation. He was polite, kind, tolerant and in a different league compared to other instructors I had. Having failed my test once with an independent instructor I had a lot of confidence issues but he took his time and allowed me to make improvements every lesson, whilst not putting me forward for the practical test again until he knew I would pass - and I did! I would recommend him to absolutely anybody - male, female, young, old - looking for a reliable instructor!

Following a great start with a helpful instructor my 17 year old son has been dumped through no fault of his, 3 weeks before his driving test without what I consider to be a good reason. We have now had to scour the internet to find an alternative and had to pay premium prices as short notice. A shame as he seemed a real nice guy.

My instructor was fantastic, always spoke everything throughly and knew what he was talking about. So glad that I went with around the bend!!

They have been so helpful and friendly. The advisor in Great Ayton was very professional and relaxed at the same time, I really enjoyed my lessons with him! I passed my driving test first time on the 16th February 2016 and i have had only 24 hours lesson from them plus about 20-30 hours with my parents. I highly recommend this company and wish everyone happy and safe driving.

I had an excellent instructor and she really knew her stuff. She was very patient and optimistic. She took her time and really understood my needs while driving and also my lifestyle so we could book lessons without stress. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking to start or restart driving as I had been with a few different instructors before I started with around the bend and they are by far the best I have had and they really take time to help with anything that needs work.

My instructor was absolutely amazing, determined to teach me every aspect of driving technics, helped me to overcome my fear and showed great level of patience.

Driving instructor was firm, fair and fun. Lessons were excellent, well explained and coherent.

Would recommend to anybody the prices are great I passed my test first time with 3 minors the driving instructor I had was fantastic and gave me the confidence I thought I never had :)

Worst experience I have ever had with a company. Paid for an intensive course promised the earth to get my money. The the instructor I got seemed friendly enough until looking back he was robbing me. For every lesson he was atleast 10mins late, dropped me off 10mins early. I would be sat waiting for my lesson 30 mins would pass then i would text having to ask Where he was 6 times he let me down like this. My first lesson I only had 30mins of actual driving. On one lesson he arrived 45mins late blaming the traffic, this lesson was at 11.30 what traffic! Realistically I have lost many hours through him playing tactics. Now I am having to relearn the wrong skills he had taught me, so disappointed. Though this is a review about the one instructor I have had, just a shame I got the one who was full of himself and robs his students of time that has already been paid for.

I had a very positive experience all the way through my driving journey, my instructor was experienced, knowledgeable and put me at ease right away. He worked hard to be flexible around my work for lessons, including very early morning and weekend lessons. I am very happy to say I have recently passed my test and I feel very confident on the roads thanks to the knowledge and advice given to me.

my partner has had 40 lessons over 9month. we have found the instructor does not want to push her to excel. he is quite happy just to take our money and drive around our little estate. after I have become suspicous I insured my partner on my car and we went out she could drive the car really well so after speaking to my partners 2 cousins who are having lessons with the same instructor they both have cancelled after both felt the instructor was holding them back. so i contacted another driving school who informed me that 40-44 lessons average should be ready for test. I think this instructor should monitored as what he is doing is shamefull. holding people back because he wants as much money as he can.

My lessons, were always jam packed full of stuff, my instructor was extremely helpful and made me prevail with my lessons, resulting in me passing. I have recommended this service to several people and will continue to do so, I had a great learning experience and felt it was well worth my money.

I paid for 10 lessons for £99, my first 2 hour lesson included 1hr 30mins of sitting at the side of the road whilst I was read to from a folder, 10mins of driving by the instructor and 20mins of actual driving myself. After the 1st leasson was over I was informed the instructor will contact me to arrange for more lessons, I heard absolutely nothing for a wekk. I got tired of waiting for any sort of comms from my instructo so complained to the main office requesting a refund. I was told a cheque will be sent to me and that the way my first lesson went was not what they instruct. It has now been over a week since i was promised a refund, I've received nothing. if you want to pay for reading lessons then choose this school, if you want driving lessons, choose an independent instructor who is interested in teaching you and will allocate you their time.

Around the bend were brilliant, I had Ernie as an instructor in darlington who was great, he was patient, clear and knew what he was doing. Really enjoyed my lessons and don't think I would have passed first time otherwise! Thank you to both around the bend and Ernie!
