I recently combined a week sailing with Club Sail www.clubsail.org with a week staying in a holiday cottage on a mountain finca. Although the website is called Fishermans Cottage, the house is actually called Casa Vistas del Mar. Very descriptive, you have superb views over the sea and the islands as well as a heated swimming pool and a Jacuzzi Hot Tub in the secluded garden. The grounds are extensive and my stay was a marvelous tranquil experience, just what I needed after a hectic period at work. I thoroughly recommend Casa Vistas del Mar to anyone wanting a rural holiday in Tenerife. The highlife is 20 minutes away but with a mountain bodega and restaurant within a short walk, who wants it. The village reastaurant collects you and takes you back! What a service.
