Jet Star

I could not make a flight this morning due to the Victorian bush fire emergency. I tried to re book but the punitive costs were more than the original and more than what I could have booked it for if I just re booked on line with no reference to the flight I could not make. Yes, Joke-star sums the airline up. The original cost was $194 they wanted $240 extra to re book another flight. That would have made my total cost $435. I could have got another flight with out reference to my first booking for $210.

The customer service employees working with Jet Star are rude and unwilling to assist with issues and problems arising with booking online. I spoke to a 'team leader' named Steve and he basically berated me for making a mistake in booking and that due to 'terms and conditions', I would be out of pocket if I needed to make a change.

I will never fly Jet Star again, and would definetely recommend that everyone books through a different airline. Virgin would be one that I would recommend.
