“I seem to get through mice pretty fast, but I guess...”

I seem to get through mice pretty fast, but I guess that is because I work at home, the office and the train, and tend to drag my trusty comfortable mouse everywhere with me. It is time for a new one, as the accuracy and right click button where deteriorating.

I did my research, and decided that the right mouse would have Microsoft Bluetrack technology, as this works on 'most surfaces', and as I use it on the train, this would be useful. So, I found several options, and the wireless mouse 5000 was the winner, however, I found out you could get the desktop set (including keyboard, £40) for £15 more that the mouse alone (£25). I then set about shopping round for the best price, and I found that comet had it for £40, if you reserve it online it was £35, and it also qualified for the 10% discount code taking it down to a little over £30. Awesome value, as it meant the keyboard was approximately £5.

This is the best mouse I have used for a long time, it is the perfect shape, and allows both left and right handed use, configurable buttons, and the blue track really works... it even worked (just about ) on a glass table! I spent Sunday working on some web designs, and it was the most I have enjoyed working for ages, the accuracy, the ease of use on any surface meant sitting on the couch running it on the sofa was no problem, and the accuracy was not affected at all. It also looks rather nice, with a glossy black surface (which will no doubt get scratched, but never mind) and the scroller wheel is smooth and very effective includes sideways clicking. the rubber sides make it very ergonomic in the hand, and provide the right level on contact to ensure the mouse position doesn't slip and become uncomfortable.

The transceiver is way more powerful than my previous MS keyboard mouse set, it works well across my large living room, and it clips to the bottom of the mouse, should you want to take the mouse with your laptop, which I do.

The keyboard is excellent, it has good key feedback, great layout, and also the addition of an f-lock key, allowing you to use the f-keys as media controls or f-keys, awesome.

All in all, the value was superb, the product is awesome and I am very happy working again :)
