Service? No Way!
'Please advise me via email of the problems that you are experiencing by email, and I will revert back to you as a matter of priority.' This is the answer the operations manager gave me after I sent them several mails. I am still waiting for their action... The priority must have been in taking the money from my credit card. My advertise is still not on the site, I am waiting now for 8 days. I also told them, when they sent me an automatic response, that their site is very slow. Had to check it before, stupid of me to be so naive. Asked them to give my money back but no answer. Is there anything we can do to stop these people, except not being so naive next time?
Don't Advertise With Pure Holiday Homes!
A person from PURE HOLIDAY HOMES had seen my property advertised with a different company and offered to copy this advert to their website and charge me 32 GBP for 6 months advert which I agreed to. In the conversation there was no mention that they would take money out of my account after the 6 months at all. I would never have agreed to this. This was July 2012, but very shortly afterwards relatives wanted to live in our property which we agreed to, so we did not need the advert. The e-mail address I gave to PURE HOLIDAY HOMES was only ever used for advertising our property, therefore after July 2012 I never looked at this e-mail site until today. At the beginning of February 2013 I noticed that Pure Holiday Homes had taken out over 220 GBP out of my account. I phoned them up and spoke to a man explaining that I wanted the advert removed and wanted my money back and that I had not agreed to this and that it was illegal. I also asked the man not to take any more money out of my account which he should not have done as he was told to remove my advert. He agreed to remove my advert and said he would talk to his manager about giving me my money back and phone back. This never happened. As I hadn't heard from PURE HOLIDAY HOMES by March 2013 and noticed my advert was still on their website I phoned again, and once again got stalling tactics and no real answers, only a promise to remove my advert and again that they would phone me back. Once again they did not ring back.
I had advertised my property with other companies and never ever had this happen, so feeling that I wasn't going to get anywhere I contacted my bank. Initially they thought they could help me but then when they investigated they said that the time-limit to complain to them had expired. The Bank did say they would make sure that Pure Holiday Homes didn't do this again and would put a block on this happening. I was relieved at this and wanted to pursue PURE HOLIDAY HOMES for the money they had illegally (yes, I checked - this is illegal) taken from my bank account. However, my husband and I run our own company and are not young and are retiring soon having had severe medical problems so the problems with URE HOLIDAY HOMES got put on the back boiler. But just to check, I went into the relevant bank about the 12th of January this year (2014) to make sure that PURE HOLIDAY HOMES did not take any more money out of my account and they seemed to be sure that they had blocked them from doing this and I was relieved. Having just had a major medical procedure recently I was only well enough to look at my bank account today and found that PURE HOLIDAY HOMES had once again taken money out of my account for an advert! Further still, I checked and still to this day our advert had not been removed, even though I told them to do this twice and they had agreed to it! Once again PURE HOLIDAY HOMES have illegally taken money from my bank account that I have never ever agreed to, neither verbally nor with any signed paperwork. Our relatives are still living in our property therefore we do not want our property advertised. We have even had revenue people asking for tax because of this advert.
Further to this, PURE HOLIDAY HOMES have changed our advert. They have said it is suitable for disabled people and for wheelchairs. I never put this in my advert. In my advert I have definitely stated that there are many steps up to our property and that people should be made aware of this as the property might not be suitable for some people. It most definitely is not suitable to anyone who is disabled and there is no way a wheelchair could access the property, so PURE HOLIDAY HOMES have changed my advert and once again have been misleading people.
Also I have noticed that from July 2012 to February 2014 (about 18 months)we have only ever received 10 enquiries. Compared to other holiday advertising companies that we have used this is extremely poor. We normally had several every week. They also had entered many properties as well as our own as being in the wrong area, therefore this could be the problem as people would be looking elsewhere for an advert in that area. This is all very unprofessional.
If you advertise with these people, their customer service/help is zero, they only seem to be interested in taking money (illegally, as in my case) out of peoples accounts.
Because my advert is still on their website they have me down as a customer (regarding advertising with them) and I have a property ID number with them but because I haven't used or had anything to do with this advert for approx. 18 months I can't remember my password, so I thought I might be able to delete the advert myself then at least no one will enquiry fruitlessly, but when I have asked 3 times for them to send it (as it suggests you can) again, one gets no response. At least I haven't had any so far. Once again their service is non existent.
Having once again contacted them, I have written a long e-mail asking them to remove my advert once again and return my money and have given them 7 days to do so or I will take them to court - which I will definitely do.
I am giving this information because I do not want anyone else to lose money or go through the frustrations I have had. There are so many much better companies who wouldn't dream of taking money out of your account without you agreeing to it. Don't be lured by a cheap deal and bitterly regret it like I have. Give PURE HOLIDAY HOMES a very wide berth or you may regret it.
Friendly Helpfull Personal Service Not Concidered A Number.
Only just signed up with Pure holiday homes for this property and l felt so comfortable dealing with them being a slight novice
These People Promises You The World And You Get On
These people promises you the World and you get only problems.. At first they offer you a cheap and good deal to put your property on their site but after a few months you find out that you have to expire your property... they don’t tell you anything but they just take off the money from your credit card... And if you think that they offer you enquiries... none in 1 year.... so think twice before you put your property on their site!!
I have had exactly the same. They took my money in May and I haven't had 1 enquiry, compared to about 5 per week on rival sites. I just checked my advert and it's status is 'not published'! I have just called to get a refund, but no one would answer my call. Is the company still trading?
Over-promise And Under-deliver
These guys are real clowns. I was told they would put my property on their site and on the german site, all for a really low price the fist year. I even got this in writing from them. It then turns out the German site still charges the tenants a 12% fee (as I had been told in writing it wouldn't do),
I can't see the text for the international sites anywhere and when I call them no one picks up the phone.
Life is too short to waste time with these people. I would recommend Owners Direct in the UK. If you want exposure to the German market, you are probably better off going to Casamundo direct. At least the pick up their phones.
Yes---I had a call today along same lines--charge of 5% of booking to advertise plus a £17 admin fee. I currently advertise with them, had ONE booking and some dodgy looking enquiries--from wilderbeast, Zan Bozas etc Also cancelled my advert TWICE by e-mail--(no acknowledgment) and TWICE speaking to a rep. Then had an e-mail reminder to confirm another years booking!!! Am looking at my bank account each day!!
Pure Holiday Homes Review
They will ask you to put your propperty on their site for a really cheap price... Before you know they take 225 GPB from your creditcard and than you will find out you have a subscription and they will not pay you back. During your advertising you get only fake bookings.... You be warned!!!
Avoid
Avoid as the search options are now so poor that it makes it impossible for users to find genuine properties among thousands of others.
Utterly Buggy
They called me and convinced to list with them on one year free tial basis. I was shocked to get billed as I was complaining that my adverts display incorrectly. This year they've degraded the website by removing fine tuning the search options making it impossible to find the advert. In addition to that the website gets slower and slower, crashing regularly. No bookings so far.
Terribly Slow Website
Whatever other opinions the website is slow to respond and this year only got much worse. This far you can check yourself but it seems like over last couple of months the service is just getting slower and more buggy. My advert has been displaying incorrectly, wrong prices, outdated calendar. Takes ages to resolve any issues and it's almost impossible to update the ad once it gets to the system.
