I've Been Using Memset For A Couple Of Years Now R
I've been using Memset for a couple of years now running Linux VMs. For the specification, they provide great value for money. But the thing that really impresses me is that their tech support is excellent. I'm an IT professional so it's refreshing to find when I get in touch with their tech support they don't treat me like an idiot and fix any problems quickly.
Unlike other providers I've used in the past, they are proactive and email me when they notice problems on their servers or networks. This means I can let my clients know there is a problem instead my clients phoning me to complain.
Great company. Highly recommended for VPS server.

I Run A High Uptime Website And Use Dedicated Serv
I run a high uptime website and use dedicated servers.
I used memset for a couple of years - 2007 to 2008. I left them in 2009 as their dedicated hosting had become too unreliable for me. However I need very high uptimes - if I was just hosting a simple website I would not needed such high reliability. I switched to Melbourne servers - who provide an excellent service and reliability.
In 2010 I needed a back up web server and wanted to host it off site which meant using another company. I thought I'd give Memset another go but cancelled my account after just 2 days.
The problem was the server provided was lower than the spec promised on their website. Also the server was over 3 and a half years old. Not old for a desktop PC but quite old for a web server running 24/7 and which needs to be reliable.
Risk of component failure grows with age and after 4 years risks become significantly greater.
Thankfully Memset agreed due to the misquoted spec to refund fully after 2 days of use.
Their website suggests if your not happy email their MD - which I did and got a somewhat frosty response.
Memset told me their servers can be up to 7 years old - whether that's acceptable for your needs is up to you. They are a very environmentally aware company so re-use of old components has its upside but also some risks. Personally I won't use them again.
