“Terrible service of Russian TV Company”

For the service they allegedly provide, they must pay money, not you. Tried to get through on December 9th - no one picked up the phone. I called another company - they immediately picked up the phone, they work 24/7. Constantly have to restart the "box", rewind and rewind so much that I turned off the TV, found this program on the Internet, and watched.

“Choose Alternative suppliers”

Pretty appalling customer service. Very disappointing attitude. The codes are not working. Paid £175 which went down the drain. Not refund. No alternative codes.

“Customer Service Non-Existent / Unavailable / Not Working”

Purchased a new package and it is not working on my Dune HD box or on my PC using the supplied software. It seems that this is a known issue from their support desk - fair enough. Tried the suggested fix however this does not fix the problem for me - again fair enough. Tried to log a support "ticket" as suggested by the proposed "fix" with firmware details, etc.. Global TV Support Centre seems to not work either. I get the following message after trying for a number of days: "ticket cannot be created/updated - this Zendesk account has expired" - grrrrr So can't report that the TV system is broken for me because the reporting system is also seemingly broken. Tried calling the telephone number on the website for technical support - told by their automated system that I need to log a ticket and then am hung up on - GRRRRRRRRRR Tried calling the sales line instead to speak to a human being - no answer after many attempts. After calling at 10:45 the automated message told me to call back during office hours of 10:00 - 22:00. Calling at 10:45 does not seem to fall into this timeframe. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR - NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!

“Excellent Russian TV service provider”

We have used Russian TV services for the past year and are very pleased with the performance. The signal is of excellent quality, and rarely drops out. The programs offered are superb and the offered videos are of excellent quality and to our surprise also contain quite recently released titles. We can recommend this service to anyone seeking Russian TV abroad. Simple installation and setup and evenings of good tv!

“Premium Pack”

I am very pleased in fact delighted with the service I get. I was relocating to Cyprus and found the local office Kartina TV unhelpful. I have been a customer of Russian-services in the UK for the last 3 years and once again they did not disappoint me and I got very clear information about how to carry on using them in Cyprus and very personal service taking into consideration that I was using the service in both countries. My favourite pack is Premium Pack and I was glad to see it available again. I find it is the best for me having tried the Flexi and Smart. The reasons are as follows: channel selection compared with Flexi, description on the programmes preview is more detailed and is seems to have less problems using the archives. I just regret that I can no longer pay for a 1 year subscription, but I have to admit the delivery is instantaneous. When I needed to choose another pack rather than Premium I was unable to see which channels were available in other packs. As I had them installed free I quickly discovered that the channel selection on Flexi was not my cup of tea. I suppose if I bought it blindly I would have been disappointed.

“Fantastic product”

Having recently relocated for two years to Colombo, Sri Lanka with My Russian Girlfriend, discovering the product and service offered by Global Russian TV has been a GodSend. I work long hours at the office so being able to have this system in the house for my girlfriend is super, there are many local Russian channels available to view and the system works perfectly with a fast internet connection. Thanks

“Bad start, but with the right subscription all good”

I am based in Australia. I contacted customer support and they provided me the information I needed to purchase a subscription. I accidently order a different subscription (flexi), received the login information, but my access was denied. I contacted customer support and basically had to re-order the premium subscription at additional cost. Russian services refused to do anything to help and treated me like an idiot, like I was trying to rip them off! Since ordering the correct subscription (premium), which is the only one that works from Australia, I have been happy with the service. However the treatment and lack of understanding from customer support has left a bad taste in my mouth. They obviously don't understand that I am a prospective customer that could potentially spend more than 200 pounds sterling each year with them and jeopardise that by arguing with me over 16 pounds, which they refuse to refund me because the codes don't work from Australia! Even if they can't technically refund subscription codes that have been issued, they could do something to help me out as I am sure that I am not the only person that has mistakenly purchased a service that is not available in Australia. Their website doesn't mention this either; you have to e-mail customer support to find out this information. In fact their website basically says that the premium subscription is no longer available and to purchase the flexi subscription, which is better. If only it would work in Australia! Good product, but rude and arrogant attitude if you mistakenly purchase a subscription that does not work in your location!'s Response to j0nne's Review

We treat all the customers equally based on the published Terms and Conditions. We make it clear and state on EVERY page of our online shops that:
1/ subscriptions are not refundable once issued (but there is no fixed contract and the shortest subscriptions are only 10 days or 1 month term);
2/ the customers need to read the descriptions of the products/services that they buy or consult us in case of any doubt.

In your case you contacted us pre-sale and we told you in writing (email) which product you needed to buy for Australia. Still you purchased the wrong pack.

Therefore, the problem that you had is not our fault. You purchased the wrong product because you did not read the product description and ignored our pre-sale advice.

You can now see that the product that we recommended to you for Australia is currently working fine for you.

I understand where you are coming from also!!!
We recently purchased the flexi package, which on their site they recommend as the best package, without warning of any limitations to users. I received the codes and they would not work,so I then had to purchase the old smart package at additional extra cost,which I really didn't want again.
After sending a email to customer services I was informed that it was my fault as they told me I had done a software upgrade by mistake and so my old package would not work anymore. They then said I had to buy a flash memory card and follow the page of instructions to download...
Having just bought my 3rd generation dune hd machine from them at £150.00,being a customer for 3 years I was disgusted at the lack of customer service and only I was to blame for there shortcomings.
They are advertising and selling products that are not compatible for certain machines or reasons......
I was then sent another very rude email from them saying if I can't afford a flash memory stick they would send me one!!!!! All I actually wanted was a refund for the service they sold me that was not even available to myself !!
Your customer services skills are a disgrace !!!!!

“Great service - excellent customer support”

I purchased the network box and a monthly subscription from Russian TV Services. The customer support was so good that they called me back, and over the phone talked me through tweaking the HDMI setup to fully utilise my TV and internet connection. They also guided me through downloading new firmware for the box (not necessary) and explaining all the extra features not even mentioned, e.g: 1 - how you can plug a usb key into the box and play back video in most formats (avi etc). 2 - how the network box can also stream video from your PC over a wireless connection. The Russian channels? Great. Over 1000 movies (free - on demand) to choose from (some russian, some dubbed); many tv channels; movie channels etc. In short - I believe it's well worth the money and I use the service everyday, especially watching Russian crime channels! The only thing to remember is to read your emails! i.e. after the box arrives and subscription is setup read the guides on their website and any instructions you've been emailed.

“Great customer service 24/7, on weekends and holidays....”

Great customer service 24/7, on weekends and holidays. Great supporting team, speaking on English & Russian. A good number of russian channels, good HD movies and kid channels. We do enjoy watching Russian TV.
It would be nice to have a cost of TV box split for a monthly payments.

“excellent solution for people who move often from one...”

excellent solution for people who move often from one country to another and who would like to stay connected to Russia and ex Soviet countries at least via TV. As all you need is good speed internet and you are fixed. It also has great feature of archiving past programs enabling to watch the progarms/shows/movies you missed. Highly recommend if you have hi speed internet!

Perfect solution to watch Russian TV. Lots of choice with 100 plus channels and very good quality picture.
There is a record facilty to save and do timed recordings . If you miss a series or your favourite program they also record the last seven days for you so you don;t miss it. Good selection of movie channels too along with High Definition gives you lots of choice here too.
Have been using for four months now and i am very happy.

Perfect solution. Programs are recorded and available on demand a full week back. More than 100 channels.
This can be used directly from a pc, or through a dedicated box, I use a mini PC attached to a TV, run perfectly.
HD channels available in very good quality.
I am on a very bad internet connection, and everything but HD runs smooth.
Highly recommended service.

I have been using Russian TV services to access television normally available only in Russia. We have used in the past a number of other providers, but have been disappointed with the quality and the choice of channels. since using Russian TV services i have been very pleased and impressed with the services they delivered. I have been supported over the phone with the initial installation, and have a broad range of channels to choose from with impeccable quality of both picture and sound. I fully recommend the service to anybody looking to view Russian channels outside of Russia.
