Worst Service Ever

I purchased a pair of glasses online from this company which also use www.feicim.ie as an online website. The glasses were the wrong glasses, we tried to contact the company using the number advertised online - it does not work. We emailed the company no reply, Phoned the number which was based in Jersey to no avail. I have a pair of glasses which are of no use to me and wish to return them. Their policy is a no quibble policy return up to 14 days from dispatch - the glasses were dispatched on 25th September but didn't arrive to me until 2nd October which was 8 days after dispatch which only left 5 days to return. I contacted the company several times but no response. Buyer beware of this comapny.

Good Frames, Good Lense Stock, Poor Workmaship & Service

I actually bought some glasses from Onespecs about 6 months ago and held back from writing a review as I wanted to test out the quality of their product.

The Order

=========

The order process was very smooth and I ordered a basic frame from their Icy range, with standard refractive-index lenses and the free anti-reflective coating they were offering at the time. I didn't want to spend too much as I had no idea what to expect, especially seeing as they were based in Jersey. I believe I paid just a little over £20.

The Delivery

At the time of order I was given a delivery time of about 2 weeks.

After 3 weeks, I had heard nothing, so I sent them an e-mail. There was no response to my message, but 2 days later, the specs dropped through my door. The parcel had VAT etc pre-paid, so there was nothing to worry about.

The Product

===========

The specs came in a metal case, which I thought was nice as most opticians give you plastic ones these days.

Immediately on first handling the specs, they made a "creaking" sound. This seemed to come from the lenses moving slightly within the frame. In fact, on closer examination it appeared that the lenses didn't fit the frame well at all. I have high a prescription, which results in thick lenses with the low refractive-index material, and these basic frames were barely able to cope with them. The order process had not brought this issue up at all. What was worse was one lense had a chip on a lower rear edge, probably made when it was being levered in.

Considering the previous reports of poor service and the fact that I hadn't had a response to message to them, I decided not to make a fuss, as they were useable and the chip was barely visible to onlookers.

6 Months On

===========

The one thing I have been really impressed with is the quality of the Icy frames. After 6 months of everyday use, they haven't started showing any signs of stress aging or deterioration due to body oils etc. And thankfully the "creaking" stopped once the lenses settled in.

And the lenses are actually not too bad either, ignoring the chip. Having paid less for them, I treat them bad, but they barely have a scratch on them, which is more than I can say for my previous super-duper scratch resistant ones which cost £150.

My Recommendation

=================

All in, my recommendation if ordering from Onepecs is that they are good for a basic pair of glasses. I wouldn't spend more money than it would hurt to lose with them, as it seems to be a bit hit and miss what you get. I might even order myself a basic tinted pair one of these days.

Ridiculously Slow

I live in London and OneSpecs is based in Jersey. They might as well be in Timbuktoo.

Placed online oder on March 6, heard nothing for days. Finally an email on March 14 to say the item has shipped. It's now March 19 and we still haven't received our order. Never again!

The Best Glasses

After debating for quite a time l thought l would order a pair of glasses on line. I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality and fitting. I have already told all my friends at work how thrilled l am and they couldn't believe how good they are.I will defininatly be ordering more at £20 you just cannot go wrong.They were delivered very quickly too, and packed well, excellant. Can't wait to buy another pair.

Am pleased to say I had a great experience buying from one specs. I ordered two pairs and they came quite quickly. One of the pairs I didn't like at all and it was no problem to send them back and exchange them,they were very helpful over the phone and I had my new glasses quickly. I liked the huge choice of glasses at extremely low prices

Worst Customer Service Ever

I order a pair of perscription sunglasses on 6 June. The order status was changed to shipped a couple of weeks later. I am still yet to receive them.

I have sent 3 email to them and have had no repies.

This is the worst company i have ever ordered from. They are quick to take your money but do not respond to communication.

The only reason i gave them one star is because 0 is not an option.

STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS TIN POT COMPANY!!!

Have had glasses of them before but this time the service is no good I order reading glasses for my dad that was on 6th June still no sign They dont answer emails if they do they dont answer what you have ask

Never again ordered some from somewhere else a week ago and there in the post already

Rubbish Service Here

This is a very poor online service compared to some other companies. They took over three weeks to produce original order, do not answer emails and do not replace damaged goods. Go to a reputable optician and save yourself some grief.
