Paid in full for new front door and replacement sealed units for bathroom window. Company fitted new door and removed sealed unit from bathroom window ready to fit new one, only to discover that they had ordered wrong size. Mistakes happen, fair enough. However, more than 3 months later, company have still not fitted new units or give me my money back. Refuse to return calls, answer emails or letters. The conservatory was constructed 2 years ago with many issues, but were resolved to a satisfactory standard. About three years ago we had a conservatory fitted by Smiths. The installation process was fraught with all the problems seen on these reviews. However, I am STILL receiving regular phone calls from their sales team asking if I am interested in following up my enquiry and do I want a conservatory. Ironically, I probably receive more attention from this team than I ever did from anyone in the installation team during construction. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I read some of the reviews for the company prior to contracting them to put a conservatory up and they were mixed and after meeting the sales person I felt more at ease. I'll keep it plain facts - Conservatory Installation: - 6 week job is still nowhere near finished 6 months on - Dont believe you pay nothing until job done. If you do Barclays finance they get the money and there is nothing you can do and no reason for them to finish the job - Try getting through on the phone - no point. - You phone, email, tell them, write lists of jobs outstanding and each time have to repeat and never gets finished - the owners live in Spain/abroad - no one cares about… Read Full Review

Installation all fine Door lock was not right when fitted- cutters told me that's what it should be like 6 months later door is unlockable and hard to open and close. This company is not fit for purpose. Their so called after sales customer service is non-existent.The staff in the installations department are rude and confrontational. They do not reply to e-mails nor respond to phone calls.We have an ongoing issue with this company that has lasted 5 months and we cannot get them back to sort out problems with our installation. I agree. Smiths Glass fitted my Conservatory in 2013 and in January this year (2017) I there was water dripping inside from the gutter outside. I emailed them immediately but they said they couldn't come till 30th January! They came numerous times after the initial visit but couldn't fix it until 14th March when they replaced the corner adapter in the gutter. I still don't know if it has worked as it hasn't rained since then. The water had been dripping down my Hillary's conservatory blind for three months and there is now black mould running down it. It will cost me £266.50 to replace it and if I claim on my house insurance I will have to pay £100 excess plus increased premiums. I have sent emails to Smiths asking for reimbursement and they have just ignored me. I had all the windows, soffits and gutters replaced by them in 2013 and they all seem Ok but when it comes to contacting their Service Department you are either kept waiting listening to a recorded message or there is no answer. Not impressed by after sales service either.

“Harassment calls”

I rang Smiths about 3 years ago with the intention of asking for a quote on double glazing. After giving them my details I actually found them to be quite pushy and didn't particularly like their attitude so told them to leave it. Agreed, I had a conservatory fitted by them three years ago (that was a poor experince in itself and subject to a negative review)
All this time later, I am STILL receiving calls from their sales team asking me if I was still interested in havong a conservatory fitted.

I purchased windows from them about 6 years ago which were fine but they are bordering on stalking now. This company does not listen when you say you want them to stop calling . I have blocked their num and asked to be removed from their mailing list to no avail. Their staff are rude , obnoxious and have absolutely no customer service skills .
