If you use this company you will get no help if anything goes wrong with the order. My mother ordered a Pendant back in November for a friends 80th birthday, she received a bracelet. We have rung Shipton's on numerous occasions, left messages on the customer service answer phone (which I have since been told is not monitored) rung the sales line and had promises somebody would call back (and they don’t). Ordered a pair of earrings online which eventually arrived. Unfortunately, ordered clip-ons rather than post and rang their careline to ask about returning them. I ordered some earrings for my mother and asked that they be delivered direct to her (she lives 200 miles away and is shielding due to Covid-19). I received an email confirming the order and the correct delivery address. The earrings were however sent to me, not her. I opened them and they were passable quality, but nothing special. Keep on at them. I have now received refund for both orders . Try asking to speak to customer services manager, I think it was him who phoned me. he was excellent, has only worked there for a while and seems determined to make a difference. Good luck.

They don’t answer sms or emails and their customer service department seems to be some bloke in a workshop with no internet access who keeps you hanging on the phone while he roots through boxes for your order. 8/12/20 I’ve just placed an order for a pair of earrings I’ve been looking at for quite sometime and unable to find anywhere else!! Receiving a 25% discount being a new customer. I agree. My order has not been delivered 10/09/20 athough their web site acknowledges receiving payment on 12/08/20. I have tried to get an update by both the online and telephone support lines. I don't wish to complain, because I realise that many deliveries are affected. I simply want confirmation that the items have not in fact been lost. The previous item I bought was a nice piece and it arrived promptly in May. I hope the company receives or follows sites like this so that they rsolve their issues.

I ordered a Gold Celtic Ring, a item regularly featured in their catalogue. Having dealt with them for many years and having been pleased at the quality of the items I have bought I placed my order.. However it is over 14 days since placing the order and on checking my Account the comment is still at the "processing" stage I telephoned their Customer Service number and spoke to a pleasant lady who apologised for the delay. Most company's keep their customers updated by e-mail or text but this does not seem to be the case with Shipton & Co. I was assured that I would receive a message to update me on my order so I wait in hope. The money has been withdrawn from my account. Good practise is when the money is only withdrawn when the order has been despatched. Very disappointing and will be unlikely to deal with them in the future unless there is a good reason for their poor customer service.

I am in exactly the same position as you. It’s outrageous a company can still be trading, taking people’s money day after day, accepting orders that are not followed through, no notifications of the progress, no replies to my e mails.

I will speak to my credit card company who I paid through, and Trading Standards this week.
