I bought this phone card from tesco to ring my Dad in New Zealand regularly as he has cancer. When I first used it I was being charged by my phone provider virgin for ringing the initial access number which was expensive. I rang Virgin and they said if I ring at weekend it will be free as I have free weekend calls. I now do this and it is great. It is free to speak to my Dad now except of course the initial £3.00 top up charge on my card which is great. Just thought I'd tell of my experience so if any of you have free weekend calls it is ideal, or free evening calls as some have.

I have bought a couple of these cards and find them very good.It clearly states the card runs out in 90 days you can also top up before the card runs out.Perhaps an extension of the period would be a good idea.I think some people writing these reviews have unrealistic expectacions and just like moaning.

Have used this card since they were first introduced by Tesco. Frequently call Malaysia. Good connectivity, Reliability, Value for money. Does exactly as advertised. Easy to top up, especially as able to do wither on line or via Tesco Stores. Unable to fault thus far. Now phoning Turkey with it...

Simple as 123.
Even better that I use my free weekend calls with BT when calling the access number

I call South Africa regularly. Use to use all those other cards and never got the minutes promised. I then moved to Post Office and costs fell to around £10 per week.
Now with Tesco £10 lasts more than twice the time so I really am spending less.
(Their rates are 2pence with a 4pence connection vs Post Office of 5pence with some free calls every 4 months).
A pat on the back to Tesco from me.
