Excellent

I have bought three mattress's form the over the last few years for myself and friends and have always found them very good I wouldn't go anywhere else. maybe i have been lucky but until i have any problems i would certainly use them again.

Do Not Use

Ordered mattress in September 2012 and promised delivery in 10 days. 2 months later and numerous phone calls and emails and no mattress, finally delivered after I threatened legal action. Mattress was a Monaco mattress which is awful by the way. This company have now gone out of business (not surprised).

Buying A Mattress

went to our local cannock store, a bit dubious because of several bad customer reviews. however, we needed a new mattress as we bought one from ARGOS, which was rubbish! anyway we found BENSON staff helpful and polite. mattress delivered when we asked with a time slot. l think with big companies you will always get some problems as thy sell so many items. we had a MEGA problem with HARVEYS furniture store- but thats another story !!!!

Horrible Customer Service, Over Three Weeks Delay

In the beginning of October 2012, I've ordered a double Charlotte mattress. It's difficult to give just one overall rating here. In the end, I received a good quality, comfortable mattress, for a reasonable price, but faced over three weeks delay, specious explanations from Bedlum's boss (Tim), and then on the day of delivery surprisingly kind and helpful drivers. So a mixed bag, really.

The original dispatch date was 17th October 2012 and the delivery was expected two days later (Friday). This was changed the next day to next Tuesday, as "many customers couldn't receive delivery on Friday". On Sunday late evening (~8pm) I got a phone call that the delivery will be delayed by next two days due to some problems with delivery van. On Tuesday, I got another phone call saying that there will be no delivery on Thursday, and no one knows when I should expect it! It turned out I'd only get my mattress in the middle of November.

In the meantime, I tried contacting Tim a number of times. He'd ignore some e-mails and respond to others, giving specious explanations like: "Why'd you call me on Sunday late evening?" "My employee misheard me over the phone when I gave him instructions" or "Why can't you rent a van to finish deliveries while yours is being repaired?" "Because ours is slightly longer and higher than the standard ones and we couldn't fit everything in there." "Why can't you hire two vans?" No answer, though my guess it that it just costs money and it's cheaper to keep your customers waiting.

Once I received the mattress, I've contacted Tim twice asking for a 10% compensation due to a very long delay. I've never heard from him again. So to summarize, you might be lucky enough to get a good quality bed in a decent price, but if anything goes wrong you are on your own as the customer service is horrible and wouldn't take any responsibility.

Unable To Contact Them For Refund Or Exchange

We ordered a La Romantica memory foam mattress 13/09/12 and was told delivery 7-10 days. 2 months later, after many emails and requests for a full refund, it was finally delivered. After 8 days of use we were finding it ever more uncomfortable so I called Tim for advice and left a message but received no reply. We persevered with the mattress for another couple of weeks but still found it gave us back ache and was very hot to sleep on. I have tried several more time to contact [name removed] but have been unsuccessful. From looking on his eBay account it would appear he has ceased trading. When I try to call him now on 01462 642921 it wont even allow you to leave a message, just goes dead.

One positive, at least I have a mattress to sleep on, even if it is uncomfortable. It would appear several people have been left high and dry and out of pocket.

Don't Use This Website !

Like other people on ebay, I ordered and paid for a mattress online several weeka ago but have heard nothing back from Bedlum Beds. They are not returning emails or answering the telephone.

Last March I Bought A Kingsize Venice Divan From B

Last March I bought a kingsize Venice divan from Bedlum Beds. The service was excellent. Delivery was exactly on time, the delivery men very courteous and helpful, and the bed is great.

No pain at all now at nights. We got it with the climasmart cover and have not been too hot on it at all.

Value For Money

I Took Delivery Of A Memory Foam Topped Coil Sprin

I took delivery of a memory foam topped coil spring mattress in August (it is now October so it has had a decent test by now): La ROMANTICA, Venice Memory Foam and Pocket Sprung King Size Mattress. It is and has been excellent. I am in my seventies with a tendency to aching hips at night but I rarely have to take pain killers now whereas with my previous old mattress I could not sleep without them.

I found the company to be excellent; very helpful on what would suit me, and they made special efforts to deliver before I went away - they even came on time, something that does not always happen! The two delivery men were quick and efficient.

I had earlier thought of buying a somewhat less good mattress and at a higher price from a high street store - but they refused to bring a mattress into the house as they claimed that they were not insured for this! There is no way that my wife and I could have carried it in...

Bedlum Beds did me proud and is well recommended by me.

I Ordered A Super King Size La Romantica Venice Ma

I ordered a super king size La Romantica Venice mattress (double sided, with Climasmart) from Bedlum Beds and have been sleeping on it for a month or so now.

I am really happy with the bed. It's really comfortable and soft - but not unsupportive, just nice and cosy.

It gets way less hot than my previous memory foam mattress - I haven't really noticed it getting hot at all.

Plus I haven't gotten out of bed with any back ache since I've been sleeping on this. I can't think of a bad thing to say about it - the mattress is like a big cloud!

The service was also fantastic. I spoke to Tim extensively by email before ordering and he was extremely helpful and honest with his advice.

Plus the delivery guys were amazing in getting it up all those stairs!! They rang beforehand as well to confirm when they're coming.

I was so happy with the service and the product, and the price (there are bad quality mattresses at much higher prices in all the big bed chains) that I ordered 4 more beds (business transaction). Again, the quality and service is great and thankfully the price is really reasonable too.
