Garmin Memory Map Adventurer 2800 GPS

Had the Memory Map Adventurer 2800 for about a year now at first i found it really hard to find my way around this was due to the poor instructions - However i went onto the memory map web site and found there user forum which helped me sort out all my issues - now it is fully working to my needs i would go out without it we have been on so many walks that we would not have attempted without the 2800 unit i love the fact you can download the walk and all the data to the computer and log where you have walked!!

All in all a great unit for the money just be patient when first using it don't bother calling the help lines just go on the user forum the people on it are great and help you out in easy terms and also its free of charge!

The mapping costs to download but you can download just the area you need and still have credit in the bag for the next place you visit!

once again it is easy to load on your gps unit once you know how!! use the forum they will guide you through step by step!

The Battery i find from fully charged leaving on all the time lasts about 4 hours which for myself is fine but there is a cover with a built in battery now available that can add another 4 hours to the unit!

Only down sides i see is that you can only load the software and mapping on any computer twice without having to buy it again so beware if you have a computer that is prone to crash- Poor instructions but the forum is available apart from that its a great bit of kit!

This was reveiwed on the Gadget show a few weeks ago. So I went on line to Singletrackbikes who got it to me in no time (thanks Guys awesome service) I wish I had bought one years ago. Fantastic piece of kit. It does everything it says except pedal you home and is so easy to work even a novice like me can work it....recommended
