My Lupo Sport Which I Thought Was Amazing

I bought a lupo sport open air from here in august as a treat for my 20th birthday. I phoned them up as I live in Cornwall and the car had no tax but he said that if we come up he would tax it if we paid him for the tax over the phone.

We did that and me and a mate went up the day after my birthday.

The guy picked us up from the train station which was nice of him.

We got to the place and saw the car it was smart apart from a few little marks and scratches and we took in for a test drive and was really nice to drive. I didn't even get a receipt.

I bought the car and went to the local sainsburys and as we pulled in the engine management light turned on. We took it back and no one was there. We phoned him a few times and guessed he had gone to cash in my hard earned money. He came back some time later and we told him the problem. He was very short with us and you could tell he was annoyed with us. He phoned his local machanic who said to take it to him. Even the mechanic was a bit annoyed with us.

I didn't really want to drive it back from Sussex to Cornwall with problems.

he told us the problem which cost me around the £100 mark to fix it.

Since buying the car I have quite a few little problems with it but being a keen car enthuiast I have managed to fix them.

I have gone from a highly modified show winning polo coupe to a lupo with problems which has annoyed me quite a lot.

Personally I would not go back to him to get a car.I still own the car and having spent a fair amount of money on it I am happy with it now.

I Brought My 2004 Ford Ka From This Garage In Sept

I brought my 2004 Ford ka from this garage in September, When I went out for a test drive there was already a problem with the car in that it needed a new clutch as when I put the clutch to the floor there was a rattling noise. I was told that the mechanic was away but I could take it to him when he got back and he would fix it free of charge (which it was). I was told when I signed the paperwork that I had a 3 month warranty, which didnt include doors, windows, window screen wipers and brakes. This I was fine with.

However in November I took it for a full service and it was found to be leaking anti freeze and needed parts replacing. Speaking to the garage I asked whether they thought I should be able to claim it on the warranty. They said yes.

As my car was already in the garage and I need it for work I tried to ring Sussex Hatchbacks to clarify this before I got the work done.

I rang twice and didnt get an answer, and on the 2nd tme I left a voicemail explaining I had a problem with the car and could he call me back.

Suprisingly he didn't. The work needed to be done on my car as it was getting colder so my dad lent me some money to get it repaired that day. It cost £130 for parts to be replaced.

I tried to ring Sussex Hatchback the next day and again didnt get an answer, until my dad sugested I try calling on the house phone, which I did, and guess what?! he answered within 2 seconds!

As soon as I said my name and the fact that I had been trying to call him for the last 2 days he just said 'oh'

I explained to him the problem I had had with my car and said that I should be able to claim it on the warranty. To this he said 'You can only claim the warranty on major mechanical work, not for leaking anti freeze' in a really ude unhelpful tone.

This was NOT what I was told when I bought the car, and it wasn't simply leaking anti freeze, it had to have parts replaced which were broken when I bought the car!

My father spoke to him on the phone, as I am only quite young, and tried to reason with him. They guy said to send us a copy of the invoice form the garage as my dad said how unfair this was and how this was not what was stated when I bought the car.

I sent him a letter with the invioce attached and never heard back from him again.

Terrible custmomer service. Happy to sell the car but any problem are swept under the carpet. I would not recommend anyone to buy a car from them.

I should have known when my car had a problem on the test drive, but because it was fixed before I got it I thought it was fine.

Oh and 2 months later my car is back in the garage having another prolem fixed.

This has dissapointed me becase I saved hard for my first car, and was given money towards it on my birthday.

Well I Have Purchased A Ka From This Garage! And I

Well i have purchased a KA from this garage! and i thought the gentleman was very pleasant to deal with.

The car was perfect and exactly in the condition described in the advert.

My daughter was very happy with my surprise gift for her birthday!

She now gets to and from work every day with no hassle (so a big thank you)

I think the review the last person wrote .... well simply a bit unfair!

I Have Just Been On The Sussexhatch Backs Website

i have just been on the sussexhatch backs website looking for a small hatchback the review that i have read is somewhat over zealous for a man that i know supplied a lovly passat estate car to a friend of mine,this is where the recomendation came from,the search for a small hatchback will commence in the new year and i am sure it will come from this guy that was totally the opposite to what has been described.may be it is the way you ask for your money back that upseta people who knows?

Well Where To Start! Great Selection Of Over Price

Well where to start! Great selection of over priced cars with high mies. He was very helpful until he has the money and there is a problem with you newly purchased car. he was very knowlagable about cars before the sale after the sale and the clio would not start and his answer was i am not a mechanic! So after gatting the car exchanged for a ford ka (again over priced) but my mrs was desperate. Then gets home i take it down the road and the only thing that sprung to mind was death trap. Driveshaft was literaly hanging out of it. So another trip down to sussex. and we have had enough by now demanded our money back at first he refused after a high tension convosation minus £100 for HIS inconvience! Oh and his words were i will have to borrow the cash from his traveler friends! and #way would not use him again and would not recomend him to anyone please note a horrid little man who i would not trust
