Creative Labs MuVo is a very ok unit for the price, don't expect it to last a life, it won't do it for more than two years. There is another problem, related to other functions like the main manu slider. Anyway, i paid about 120 buck for the 512mb version, 120dollars/360 days = 3.3 cents a day. Not bad.

The Creative Labs MuVo is kind of hard to use and not that loud - my unit then stopped working properly just outside the warranty!
Don't buy from creative labs - Go iPod!

I dropped it and broke it, but up until then I loved it to pieces! I got my Creative Labs MuVo MP3 player free in the post (?!). It was possibly a competition win. It has no digital display or shuffle feature, but it was my first MP3 player, and I have to say it won't be my last.

Just months after owning the Creative Labs MuVo player, it shuts down as and when it likes. The company's service center constantly asked me to download an updated version of the firmware for the player. It worked a few times, but the auto shutdown problem kept recurring. It was highly annoying and disruptive. Then to make matters worst, the player started turning off each time I plug in my headphones! I brought it to the service center, and the "BEST" they could do was sell me another player! Like I would want to pay more to go through the whole experience of auto shutdowns again!

Although I accept all the points other reviewers have made, the main and deal breaking problem I have with the Creative Labs MuVo is that it turns itself on very easily - I have therefore hardly been able to use it in the 7 months I have had it because the battery has gone when I come to use it - also the battery life is very poor. Very frustrating.

I have recommended Creative Labs MuVo to a lot of my friends and family. For a small yet functionally rich unit which give excellent sound quality with a Graphic Equaliser it can't be beaten. I use it in the car with a FM Xmitter and set it to shuffle. It plays for hours and is better than listening to commercial radio with those hideous conservatory and double-glazing adverts.

I have owned a Creative Labs Nomad MuVo for about a month now and it hasn't let me down. The sound quality is superb and battery life is good for hours and hours of music. You can turn it up and there is no distortion with the fantastic quality supplied earphones. Easiest MP3 I have ever used. The only thing it could use is a screen to see what track you are on because it takes a while to scan through each track to find the one you want.
I have recently got a Creative Nomad Muvo with a screen but I cannot remember the model. It is exactly the same but with a screen. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This Creative Labs MuVo portable mp3 player is so small. A great little thing to show off with and its really cheap. About £60 for the 64MB one. It's got great sound quality and you can use MP3 and WMA files and also store other files. It can be used as a flash UB drive. I think this is a great peice of technology which fits anywhere. This looks very high tech.

The player is quite cheap £65 (64mb player). The sound quality is quite good. Fits nicely in your pocket. USB connection is simple and flawless, but. When you plug it in the computer detects it as a hardrive and songs can simply be dragged and dropped into the players folder but you cannot re-arrange the tracks once you transfer them. The bad points with this player are that i found that to turn on the player you had to press the play button for far too long( my previous player Zillion was much better). And the the next track and play/pause button are far too close to each other and a bit awkward to press. But the worst thing about this player is that the player claims to be 64mb but windows only detects it as 60.1mb. This is not because i have a malfunctioning player this is becuase of the FAT format of the player, I'm surprised that no other reviewer has mentioned this. One last thing 6 weeks after purchasing this player the ON button doesn't respond, as i write this review i'm trying to get a refund/exchange.
Overall this a average player, there are many other players now that have exceeded this player in terms of quality and price.

I find this a real nice player. Great for gym, and walking around. I carry it most places and use it often on the train and so forth. The batteries became a problem and so I figured the best way round this is to buy a rechargeable set with recharger and alternate the use of the batteries. Each battery gives me between 8-10 hours of use... not much more. This has saved me alot of money in batteries.
I also bought a better set of speakers, I found the JVC Bass Boosters excellent and am now in seventh heaven.

The Muvo is great, and I am very happy with it, except that about every week I must change the one AAA battery. This might be from about an 1-2 use a day, but still, should it be sucking up batterys that fast? All around very good.

written by Spellsabre. on 07/05/2003

The Muvo is near unique in that it can be used as a flash memory device as well as an MP3 player. Even if this versatility is of no interest to you, the Muvo is still good value. On Windows XP, it is simplicity itself to copy files or MP3's and WMA's to - just plug it into a spare USB port and a new drive appears for you to copy onto. Sound quality is good. Treble and midrange are well reproduced, with an often surprising clarity and warmth. Bass is not so impressive; the Muvo can't dig deep, but does avoid sounding muddy. I often find cheaper audio players tiring to listen to after a while - not the Muvo. Also, I could easily fit 26 tracks of around 5 minutes in length onto the 128MB memory, using an average of 160Kbps quality. The Muvo has its downsides though - the supplied headphones betray the cost of the product, and the battery cover can be fiddly to fit. Instead of a belt clip, it comes with a cord to wear around your neck, but the unit tends to bounce around if you aren't sitting still. That's not to say that the Muvo is heavy or bulky - even with a battery installed it is a similar size and weight to a cigarette lighter. The unit's physical controls have a reassuring feel (from new at least) and are fairly intuitive to use. You don't get anything as advanced as an LCD for status information, nor a random play function. Bearing in mind the size of the Muvo I think most people would forgive these. All in all, the Muvo should only disappoint those for whom absolute quality is paramount, or those who want to have more tracks to choose from. For everyone else, its a bargain. (128MB version)

The Muvo is a great piece of kit for taking to the gym, or even going out for a walk with. The sound is good, although it gets a lot better with good headphones! - however you had better make sure you have just put new batterys in it. I don't think I have ever got a battery (it only takes on AAA) to last more than about 2 hrs.
