“Unfair, rude”

Written on: 10/12/2020 by yfDrake51 (1 review written)

Unfair company. Copart bends the law selling membership which is refundable following Consumer Contracts Regulations which came into force on 13 June 2014 and implement the Consumer Rights Directive within a cooling period. They refuse however to refund a membership online purchase where the law states we have a right to opt out within 14 days. According to Copart people who pay the fee are not consumers. Following other comments about them there is only one advice - AVOID!!!… Read Full Review

“OMG COPART HAS GONE NEXT LEVEL GREEDY!!!”

Written on: 03/06/2020 by THEREALIST1 (1 review written)

OMGGG COPART HAS GONE NEXT LEVEL GREEDY...TOO MUCH GREEDINESS WILL KILL YOUR COMPANY!!! Reported!! Premium numbers for calling, uneducated and rude staff who hang up after 50mins of average waiting times, just found that membership prices has increased by another £10 and that "memberships are renewed on calendar year basis" instead of normal (so I will have to pay for full year of membership although I am joining in JUNE) So you cannot currently see the vehicle due to covid and are bidding… Read Full Review

“They are salvage yards, not a car dealer!”

Written on: 18/05/2020 by utHolmes274 (1 review written)

The reviews on here are not fair in my view. Copart sells salvage cars that have been written off! It's up to you to study the pictures and do the background checks. You can always make an appointment and view before bidding. I've bought quite a few vehicles from them, it is a bit of a gamble, but that's why you set your limits low and bid accordingly. Just my opinion, but it's not somewhere you buy a car if you don't consider the risks. Plus they are always busy and you need to know there… Read Full Review

“Slow, but profitable”

Written on: 24/04/2020 by Dezzamondo (2 reviews written)

Wow, some of the reviews on here seem to be grossly exaggerated. Don't get me wrong, Copart is far from great, but its not quite as bad as a lot of people seem to be making it out to be. First and foremost, you are buying insurance write-offs for the vast majority of auctions. These cars will need attention before you even come close to selling them on. Most of the cars will have been sat for weeks, if not months by the time it gets to you. No ticking over engines, no servicing, nothing. Don't… Read Full Review

“" Warning " do not buy from this Copart”

" Warning " do not buy from this Copart Please guys be aware this company. They are taking advantage of Covid lock down on delivery only purchases, no prior viewing , bad angled photos of cars to disguise extent of damage , premium phone lines when you make a call, allow you to bid on cars knowing they are preventing collection of cars for export when there is no delivery outside Uk then charge you storage charges because you cannot collect even after sending a car transport company from… Read Full Review

“BE AWARE!!!”

Written on: 08/04/2020 by Gonzo3636 (1 review written)

BE AWARE!!! Recently won the auction for a Lot, have all the details downloaded including pictures of vehicle. The auction ended yesterday (06/04/20), and that was the auction without "sellers reserve" or "minimum bid". Bought this vehicle for £2,550. Few minutes later, Copart sent me another information that i can buy this vehicle for £3700? Copart did try to make me pay more,Copart did not accept the result of the auction, they cancelled my won vehicle and relisted today (07/04/20) for… Read Full Review

i have bought several cars over the years, but recently it getting worse too the point i think trading standards should get involved with some of the practice's that go on at COPART This MY Experience and MY Opinion 1. REMOVAL OF FUEL FOR SAFETY When ever you see the rear seat lifted in a picture the fuel may be removed and many times leaving a stench of behind and the seat base being contaminated or drenched in fuel, don't understand how its safe to do this, I am sure the manufacturers fuel… Read Full Review

“Worst company”

Written on: 10/01/2019 by ChristopherReese170 (1 review written)

This is the worst company I ever seen in U.K. I bought two cars on 19th of Dec 2018 and today is 10th of Jan 2019. still I am waiting to be delivered my cars. whenever I called to ask the delivery date they extend one week again and again. I send email to manager & complaint department but they are same like company. I bought two another cars and was written no fault but cars arrived and I found one of the car gearbox is gone and another one is engine gone. Now only the option I have to put the… Read Full Review

“Car more damaged than when they collected it ”

This lot came to pick our Audi TT up that had a small dent in the drivers door. They had the car for three weeks missing the first drop off date as said it was not on there records .When they finally brought the car back there was more damage than when they collected . The front number plate was missing damage to the front bumper two deep holes in the bonnet and oil over the drivers seat . “Car more damaged then when I viewed it.”

Written on: 03/12/2017 by Slaughter433 (1 review written)

I purchased a car from Copart in Wisbech, I went and viewed it first as the reviews for Copart on trustpiolt are very negative. The car was in a large yard with hundreds of others and seemed what I was looking for, I took some pictures of the car as there weren’t very many on Copart and the damaged parts weren’t pictured at all clearly. When I won the car and went to collect the car they brought it out on a giant forklift and had wrecked the front bumper with the fork lift truck, the… Read Full Review

Response does not match the review. The reviewer has stated they have looked at the car prior to the sale and damage is a result of events after viewing the car. Clearly copart response appears to be an automatic and does not address the complaint

“JCB fork lift truck picked my car up ”

Written on: 24/11/2017 by Anniej415 (1 review written)

I couldn’t believe what the lady in the office actually told me that my car was being brought out to me on a fork lift truck. My insurance company told me that my car was there and I wanted to go and see the damage to it as they said it could be repaired. When I seen a JCB bringing my beloved car out I couldn’t believe my eyes. The car was damaged but more damage from the JCB. Theses insurance company are letting this happen to people’s cars. Please if your car has been damaged or… Read Full Review

“Buyer beware, inaccurate description and more damage ”

Written on: 01/11/2017 by NickCunningham (1 review written)

Copart is not a place for the inexperienced person to buy cars, I buy 4 or 5 salvage cars a week and the same problems occur frequently. More damage than in the pictures. Advert says it’s a Cat D when it really a Cat C Advertised with keys, they have lost them Parts missing from the cars, all the fuel has mysteriously disappeared since the picture were taken. Forklift drivers treat all cars like they are scrap. Mileage completely inaccurate If you are buying are car to put back in the road… Read Full Review

Our vehicles arrive to us in the same condition as we sell them, so equally to the mileage, any checks taken prior to bidding would have flagged up any discrepancies. This is explained in our terms and conditions which all Members agree to upon signing up.

Hello,

Perhaps your staff should do there jobs properly and when you advertise a car with keys it actually does have some!! You move vehicles with giant size forklifts and they clearly get damaged, perhaps you should try reading the 100+ negative reviews on trustpilot and on here before trying to hide behind a contract.

Kind regards,

An unhappy customer, one of many by the looks of it.

“You only get what you pay for”

Written on: 09/08/2017 by StuartMc1982 (1 review written)

I buy a few cars a week from copart and have read some of the reviews here. At the end of the day you are buying a car from a salvage yard with forklift drivers on minimum wage, the cars are always damaged on site, if only the sills are squashed in then its not too bad. If you dont check the mileage then its your own fault, mot history check is online and free. Obviously if it was not damaged or had a story it definitely would not be in copart. Copart is not for the inexperienced or faint… Read Full Review
