I've had this Olympus C-3030Z digital camera for about 3 years now and it's done me proud. I've taken thousands of pictures over the years and have generally had very good results from this camera. It can be as easy or as difficult to use as you want it, from simple P automatic mode to more advanced shutter and aperature priorities.
Shutter speed can go down to 16 seconds for night shots etc.
Built in flash is reasonable, you can adjust its brightness with menu options.
Picture quality is great. You can preview pictures you've taken, zoom out to thumbnails and also zoom right into the pictures you've taken.
Battery life is reasonable, I've now got some 2000 mAH NiMH AA batteries and these last a good while. Always have a spare set with you as you've no warning as to when the batteries are going to run out. (this is not a fault of the camera but moe a side effect of the NiMH battery type).
Only thing I'd say against it is that maybe it's getting on a little and there's probably newer cameras with a few more mega pixels and smaller size. Check out other Olympus models!!!

I purchased the Olympus C-3030Z Digital Camera when it first came available.
From the start I purchased 2 sets of rechargeable batteries, and two 64mb
Smart Media Cards. Have used it many
times at Nascar Races, other sporting
events, and now I am having a ball taking
pics of Grandchildren.
Quality of 8x10 prints couldn't be better.
Olympus certainly gets an A+++ rating on this on.

I have had an Olympus C3020Z digital camera for five months it is the third digital camera I have owned. I use it professionally taking marine/boating images. The print quality at anything up to 16" x 12" is generally excellent however depending on lighting high contrast areas in the corners of the image show signs of abberation in the form of a blue/purple fringe. Battery life is pretty short anything less than 1700 mah batteries are really a waste of money. I can get 34 to 40 images on a 64 meg card in SHQ. If the camera is used only on its fully programmed setting results can be disappointing, I normally use aperture priority.

The Olympus C3030Z is a great digital camera. I've had mine for over a year - no problems. Takes 4 AA batteries. I got a 64 meg memory card to replace the 16 meg it came with. This gives me capacity to store about 80 high resolution pictures. The software is very easy to use and images can be downloaded to a PC very quickly. The movie mode is adequate for messing about with but obviously not upto the standard of a dedicated digital video camera. Still fairly good though.
Only downsides - the lens cap is quite easy to catch with clothing etc. and comes off easily. I imagine it could be easily lost. When using the movie mode there is a loud crackling sound right at the end of the movie.
Overall I have been very happy with this camera.

I just purchased An Olympus C3030 Zoom digital camera. I need some help to find the right USB driver for it. I can't link the camera to the PC (under windows XP home) either by the windows explorer or by the Camedia suite. Could anyone send me a working driver or any advice?

Apart from the battery issue, I would recommend this digital camera.

I have only just received the camera, and will update this report as I get more usage under my belt.
