Firstly my service and MOT was delayed by 3 days, informed on day it was due to be collected. Then car was collected very late midday in fact. Then car garage would not release car until service stop had paid them, with them adding on a hidden fee at the end even though I had paid in advance. To top it all off, by the time I had actually managed to get ahold of customer services, the garage had closed leaving me with no car to get to work. I''ve never been so angry with a service in my life. DO NOT use this company.

I have booked a MOT and full service with them . They collected my car in the morning. By after one of staffs phoned me car engine has some issues and to fix that problem they asked me to pay more than £600. By evening the delivered the car. After few days car showed engine problem. Then I have contacted them. They told me that they got anappoinment for me where they did the repair. I had gone there and told them about this issue .They were surprised because they were unaware about this appoinment.Then I came to know that they had only did mot and full service . They did not do anything for engine . Again I had contacted them but not responding to me. I wasted my money and time . So not recommending to anyone.They are just like bandits.

I've got a 2.0 A1 competition 4.0. I put it in for a full service and MOT. It was driving absolutely fine and had no engine lights or errors on it prior to going into the garage. I've just been invoiced this: REMOVE & REFIT : WINDSCREEN WIPER - BLADE/S (MOT FAIL) £145.00 RENEW : BRAKE FLUID (SERVICE ADVISORY) £140.00 INVESTIGATE : ENGINE MANAGEMENT LIGHT (SERVICE ADVISORY) £265.00 REMOVE & REFIT : SHOCK ABSORBER/DAMPER (ONE) (REAR SUSP.) LEFT (MOT FAIL) £667.88 PERFORM : LIFETIME FUEL TREATMENT AND ENGINE FLUSH (SERVICE ADVISORY) £135.00 when a driver brought the car back from the garage where the work was actually done he had no idea about all these charges and said they were not from the garage but were from servicing stop

“Mot and servicing”

I used this servicing stop, totally shammed me, they didn't do what they said, charge you extra without any reason they just put on bill. The phone number they give you can contact unless they phone you, I don't recommend this servicing at all never never again, don't trust in other reviews in their website-which I did.”

“Beware!!!!”

I booked for BMW X3 car service on 20th January 2024 for collection on 23d January 2024. They charged £183 pounds which I paid on the booking day. On the day of service, the guy from the customer service called me and asked me to pay the brake fluid oil £221 pounds. I owned the BMW first time and I thought £221 is the right price and I paid immediately. When car handed over to me in the evening the dashboard was still showing the warning that Brake Fluid required change. Firstly I thought they probably forgot to reset the system, to clear my doubt I went to halford and found that the brake fluid oil is not changed and halford mentioned they have ripped me off as fluid oil change only cost £50. I rang 10 times and finally connected once with the customer guy and asked me to drop the email to customer service. The customer service replied 24 hours, Mellisa customer executive which she is not understanding the case properly. They bloody charged me over 400 and not refunding the money of brake fluid oil. I agreed with previous reviewers that stay away from this company. I am speaking to my bank to get my refund at this moment. They are cheating to all their customers. We need to raise the voice jointly so that they can stop cheating people and shutdown their business.

“Sham artists, unprofessional and untrue”

Booked and confirmed my car in for a specific date over 2 weeks away. Arranged work/child care to fit. Got a call 2 days before to advise there was no availability and they needed reschedule. Due to a backlog and shortage of staff, my car wasn't confirmed with the garage at the time of booking and by the time they got round to it, there was no availability. Next problem, hidden exclusions. BEWARE - what is usually included in a FULL service, ISN'T. They remove most of it out and hide this in the Terms. Third problem: They mislead. I was advised on the phone that my car needed various bits of work done in order for it to pass. When I called the garage directly, they advised that it only needed one thing done to pass. the rest was just advisory. Fourth Problem: terrible communication. When they had to rebook my appointment, they then failed to update me of the different garage. When I tried to call my service rep back, he failed to pick up, When I tried to call the mobile number that organised collection, it didn't receive calls. When I asked for a direct address and contact number for the garage, they were hesitant to hand over these details. I am still waiting for the report that I asked for that service stop receive from the garage. I am still waiting for the costs that they advised me of over the phone. They intentionally do not discuss anything over email so they can cover their tracks and lies. Fifth problem: UNREASONABLE COSTS. One of the things they said I needed was a diagnostic test which would cost me £169 plus VAT. After I managed to obtain the garage direct number, they said they had quoted £50 for this. The entire bill that I was advised of only over a call that I needed pay for my car to pass would come to over £600 plus VAT The garage confirmed this was extremely hiked up from what they quoted and the work that needed to be done to pass would only come to £50. everything else is advisory.

“This is a sham”

This is a sham, they have taken my brothers car. At Christmas. He is on minimum wage and cannot just buy another car. Heartless monsters. I strongly urge you not to use this company. On the eve of the service they contacted him telling him they needed his log book to do the service. They picked the car up early in the morning and took it to a garage 100 miles away and then did not return his calls. At the end of the day he received an email from them claiming the car is unfit to drive and the repairs exceed the value of the car. The car was in full working order prior to their collection. Luckily he did not give them his log book but they do have possession of his car. If anyone has any advice or had similar experiences please share.

I liked nothing! SHAM ARTISTS, UNFAIR, TERRIBLE, BULLIES, RUDE. Hold your car to ransom until you pay their over priced invoice. Don’t tell you where your car is, give fake garage names, ignore emails, ignore calls. DREADFUL company.

I will never use this company again, they lure you in with good prices and when they have your car they overcharge for extra work, I if you are going to hold me up at least wear a mask an hold a gun. £162 for brake fluid change and that is three times what Halfords charge. Guess who’s getting my future business for all the family cars. It’s not this company. They are even more expensive than dealer prices, BMW at Northampton quote £107+ vat. Service stop call themselves competitive, they are no way comparable, even to dealers. Avoid as I will in future

Ok, I was drawn in by the incredibly cheap quote of a full service & MOT. Black Friday event gave me £30 off also. So was looking at the bill for around £120! Happy days I thought. The car was duly collected on the day requested albeit I didn’t get a phone call to say what time, no problem I was at home. Around midday I checked online if car had passed MOT. It had! Again happy days, but around 2.30pm I get a call from a representative saying that for my car to be “up to date” with its service record I would need an Engine Oil Flush, Brake Fluid Flush. At an additional cost of £265!! I turned them down as my car 6 weeks previous had discs and pads changed thus having new fluid in the system. No need for so called flush! A complete lie from them! So I turned down the additional work to be done but still had to pay for the “specialist oil” for my car a Mazda diesel not anything to flash priced at £29.99. Weirdly that cost had to be paid as they had already done my oil change?? So them telling me I needed an engine flush after they had already changed my Oil?!!….blatant lies. Wish I had read these reviews before and not on trust pilot (which they write their own reviews!) Lesson learnt here but advice for anybody looking to use them for servicing..DONT USE! Go independent. Their full service does not even include replacing Air filters..I had to buy one from Amazon and fit myself. No Fuel Filter change, no pollen filter change either. So if you want an expensive oil change and nothing like a full service these are the guys for you..???? Car was delivered back when I wasn’t even in! So no communication then either. Won’t use again or recommend.

A waste of time & a bad car servicing provider. My toyota car servicing (full service with spark plugs) normally cost £150. 00 at my local garage. I ended up spending £190. 00 with this site for an oil change only. I was then ask to pay an additional £230 for the full service i had already susposedly paid for. After the oil change & i had to collect my garage as i refused to pay the additional £230. 00. please avoid this sham site that will trick you out of your money.... Return to your local garage you use & don't end up paying twice for the same car service.

They didnt pick up my car on the date nor time scheduled. It was impossible to get in touch with them as there was no telephone contact number provided on their website or on any communications from them. Their online web chat didn't work as no operators to chat to. Then they called 2-and-a-half hours after the latest scheduled pickup time to say the appointed garage was not able to repair my type of car..... So could they find me another garage for another date... Naturally I told them no thanks and that i would use FIXTER instead who were far more reliable. I provided feedback (politely) to the agent who called me saying how difficult it was to contact them or the garage they planned to use. I would never use these guys again.

Big sham the price you are quoted will over double they make things up as they please, go to your local garage guys it will work out much cheaper halfords also way cheaper, I would never use again first and last time bid mistake I made go elsewhere you will save a lot of money you are paying these guys to rip you off they add money onto oil used and all parts they tell you you need, you have been advised from somebody that trusted and got ripped off

Had my car booked in 2 weeks in advance...being picked up Monday morning...really need my car next week. Can't be without it... only to be rang Friday afternoon to be told they can't pick it up and I now have to drive to Bristol to have my car mot and serviced...with no mot my insurance is invalid so I can't do that and it's an hour and half away from my house... now I have no car ...not booked in anywhere ...and now have no car next week... after reading the rest of the bad reviews I won't ever use this company again... they have left me in a very bad situation now ...and they didn't care ...so good luck service stop .. your going to need it treating customers like this... avoid the hassle with this company.. go esle where ????

“DODGY!!!!! DO NOT GO THERE”

Do not use servicing stop or you will regret it!!! Do not trust the reviews you see on trustpilot as they have got their own people to do it.  Servicing stop make you pay before any work they have never carried out and they wouldnt, they will return your car just the way they collected it from you. i decided to use servicing stop for convenience, and in terms of picking the car up and dropping back it was convenient there, but that’s where the convenience ended and became a nightmare to me. I also chose servicing stop due to the advertised price of the service very big mistake. An hour towards their closing time i got a call from servicing stop telling me what needed to be done to the car. The guy mentioned a few things which i never requested, he then told me the car needed ‘specialist oil’ which would be extra. He said that would cost me £308. He said “that would get the car legal” that didn’t click with me at the time, but the car mot was already passed. I was at work at the time, so i told he my car doesn't have a specialist oil. He told me he would send a link to make payment and the work has been carried out and i needed to made payment. Also would i mind leaving them a review. Bear in mind – no work has been carried out yet. So, being at work, i just wanted to get it done. I clicked some stars and only then was i able to view my invoice and pay. {i have since found out that trust pilot have been investigating servicing stop and have given them a cease & desist notice for their review practices. Do not trust any positive servicing stop reviews. } this is when i realised that the price quoted on the phone was excluding vat – which he didn’t tell me about. So my bill ended up being £108 for servicing and £18 for mot, made me pay £141 without a breakdown, and got an addition payment of £308 for the extra work. The total bill for the service and that tiny bit of work was £449 !!! I immediately knew I had been tricked. I got the car back the next day after I left work to go to their office. Spoke to a representative if that is actually are real name who knowns, saying she has dropped the charge for the oil which was quoted to me to make payment of £24. 99 and suddenly rosed to £30 what a joke of a company and they are not the actual people who does the service and mot with their untrue people your car can be parked at one of their homes and retured back to you because when i attended the office it wasa ground floor office and there are no car or garges there is i really dont know who carries out the serving and checked. Bunch of crimers there and they would let you got in the office as they just found out they were busted and not just talking on the phone. When I switched on the engine, the ‘service the vehicle’ light was still on. I was furious and wondered if anything had been done, i opened the bonnet for the driver that brought the car back to see and he had nothing to say oh am just the driver to return the vechile. Emailed them back that the representative said the garage that did the work said they service and changed the oil, I curse you all. do not use servicing stop!!!  They are sham artists

I received the following reply about my complaint and experience:VERY POOR & UNPROFESSIONAL & HELD MY CAR TO RANSOM - DO NOT USE FOR ANYTHING Needed an MOT and had the worst experience of my LIFE +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I do sincerely apologise for the issues that you have experienced when trying to make the needed payments online and for the fact your vehicle has been kept at the garage for longer than expected. Following your complaint I have spoken to the garage, the Servicing Stop technical team and the service advisor, who has managed your booking, about this and I will also be monitoring them closely moving forwards to ensure that the feedback has been taken on board and that the needed improvements are made. With regards to the amount of emails that you have received in relation to your service and the clarity of these emails, I do apologise for any inconvenience that this has caused you. Following your complaint I have passed your feedback regarding this to the management team, as we are always receptive to feedback and we do frequently adjust the services we offer based on suggestions and feedback made by our customers. You have also reported that you are unhappy with the way in which the Specialist Oil charge has been explained to you, the fact you were unable to view your MOT certificate on the service date and the fact your vehicle has been returned to you dirty, with grease marks on the Bonnet and dirt in the drivers footwell, I do sincerely apologise for this. Again, I will ensure that your feedback in relation to this is provided to the service advisor and garage who have managed your booking as well as to our management team. I appreciate that you are unhappy with the offer of a £20.00 refund and, whilst we are unfortunately unable to compensate for loss of earnings, what I can do is increase the refund offer to £25.00 for you, as a full and final resolution to this case, please advise if you would like to accept this refund and I will make the needed arrangements for you. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Atrocious and overpriced. They do not answer phone calls and when they do they put you on hold then hang up. They might offer competitive price to get your order in but make up the difference by overcharging you, then try to push “we use premium parts” excuse on you. Local garage offered to do the job for less than half of the price. Will not use again, Stay away!

I have booked my car in for an MOT and there are no pre existing problems that I am aware of. However, if they find something that needs doing, but I would rather get it done elsewhere, please confirm that if I find a cheaper quote and they will return the car, then that they will carry out the MOT once its done?

I have never been in that position but I would inagine that if it needs work done then that's a fail, and they would expect, if you didn't want to have the work done to get a pass then they would charge you for the MOT. If you present it again after the work they would need to test it again at your cost. I think that is only fair. If they are testing twice they should be paid twice

If the problem would cause an MOT fail they will not pass the car - nevertheless the mot will be charged. If you then had it done elsewhere the MOT would then have to be repeated so that the car can pass

hi, I had my van serviced and with extras that cost too much!! I just got them to do it thinking will save me hassle. I was definately over priced by the garage that took my van. I would put in for mot and check that you can get it back with no problems!! if you decide to go else where. If the quote seems fair go with them,use your insight!! In hindsight i should have got it done at a local garage as i will next time for me 30% more expensive!! good luck. ps--use a trusted garage over this supposed convenience,

You only pay for the MOT test.The MOT test centre is independent of garage it is situated at.If it is a fail you have a time period of 10 days I believe (will say on the fail sheet how long).To get the work done wherever you wish and then return the vehicle to the same test centre for a retest at no extra charge as long as it's within the stated time on the fail sheet. MOT centres are essentially government regulated as are the testers.

I don't know their base in the Telford area, but they come to collect your car from your home and return it afterwards.

I'm sorry but I have no idea and can only suggest you give Servicing Stop a call or email and ask them. My car was done in Lossiemouth, Moray,and they were happy to tell me where the car was going. Can't fault the service but that is obviously down to the individual garage and as we all know there are good and bad.

They use all local garages maybe it's a garage down the road from you give them a call ,they pick your car up and return it to you leaving you free to relax in your own home. 100% great service.

Unsure where they are based but I would avoid at all cost. Prices will rise when your car is already in, they attempted to charge me 5 times main dealer price for low ash oil (over and above the oil price already paid), they do not follow manufacturer service guideline as advertised and to top it off car returned late. Look over the Internet for many poor reviews
