DO NOT USE!!! Worst delivery company I have come across. I thought Evri was bad. I have only ever used Tuffnells twice and both times I had horrible experiences. First time the driver dropped a huge King size mattress outside my building, I live in an apartment block and he was refusing to bring it in. I got him to bring it into our reception area and he stormed off. It was too heavy to get it in my lift and upto my flat so had to get help. When took the plastic wrapping off I noticed loads of damage from the mattress being dragged along the ground. Second time they didn't even ring my buzzer, no one delivered anything and the ebay seller said Tuffnell claims it was delivered. I tried to get more info but Tuffnells have just completely ignored me and not even attempted to look into the issue. I am out £190!

This company has lost my brand new ebike which cost 2800 pounds. They picked it up told me it got to a depot then they lost it did a search found nothing a friend of mine who works for them found it again in a totally different place , they then said they'd tried to deliver it but didn't then said it was on way back to me NOW lost AGAIN. PLEASE PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY

My husband and I waited in for two allday delivery slots and were let down both times. On the first failed attempt, their excuse was that we had refused to sign for the article, which was a mislead. On top of which, there is no tracking for the customer or the companies they service.

So I've just pulled up at Sainsbury's car park and the phone rings so I answer and the voice on the other end says " I have delivery for you,you come down now ". I'm not expecting a delivery until tomorrow and I've not had any notifications to say it's coming a day early, I checked in the morning, no tracking info just saying it's despatched, so I was a bit confused, racking my brains trying to think if I had another delivery coming.I explained to him that I was out but if he rang the buzzer my GF would let him in .He couldn't see the correct flat number in front of him so he was obviously at the wrong building.I explained to him that he's probably at the wrong location and that he probably needs to go around the back of the main block but he just kept saying "you come down now " in a very aggressive fashion. After I've established that he's at the wrong place and he's not prepared to attempt to deliver it to the right place and I've told him for the 3rd or 4th time that I'm not at home and yet he's still demanding I come downstairs I finally snapped and said "Look you f'ing idiot ,how can I come downstairs when I'm not at home? He swore back at me and said "you won't get your f'ing delivery" Sometime later I got a phone call which was so quiet the only words I could distinctly hear were " Festus " and "Tuffnells"and an inaudible phone number...I worked out that this was probably a call to attempt to re-deliver my package. Festus is probably a lovely guy but he needs to speak up a bit ! As for his colleague, I would suggest to Tuffnells that if they can't recruit people capable of getting to the right property,or being capable of understanding that they're at the wrong property when they are being told so and all the evidence suggests this, and are not prepared to attempt to go to the right place yet still expect the customer to come downstairs to collect a delivery that they didn't know was coming when they are a mile away at the shops then it's probably time to give up !

DO NOT USE. Collected my parcel, tracked it as delivered but it wasn't. Then said it was lost. No proof of delivery, no proof of signature even though this was required. How was it delivered and lost? Police have been informed.

They lost a four piece sofa set, how you can loose an item that large I don’t know! I contacted them directly and it took 5 days to get a response, their response was that they wouldn’t investigate or discuss with me as I was the receiver and not the sender. Tracking states that the item couldn’t be delivered for “other reasons” at 5pm (delivery was never attempted), then at 7am the following morning the barcode was scanned back in to the depot where it subsequently vanished into thin air. Read into that what you will, perhaps it fell off the back of a lorry (?)

Ordered a set of ladders with next day delivery on 20.04.22, at 06.18 next morning received an email to say out for delivery. At 10am I looked on Tuffnells website to track my delivery but just said out for delivery and live tracking was not working, it states you can get an ETA from your local branch, I then tried the branch locator but this takes to a page that states “you are not authorised to access this page” so totally useless. I sent Tuffnells 2 messages via there website and no response and no delivery, but at 18.30 when I look on there website it now states delivered. Next morning I phoned Tuffnells customer service as I had no response to my previous messages to ask where was my delivery as it was not delivered to me I was told they could not access that information and could not help me in any way as they will only talk to the account holder (I did check I was talking to customer service) and for any information I should talk to the sender. I phoned the sender who in turn phoned Tuffnells, the sender phoned me back within 10 minutes to tell me There was no signature and Tuffnells could not reach the Brierley Hill depot so no help there, however the supplier was apologetic and would dispatch another set of ladders with a next day before 12 noon delivery with carrier company DX Would you believe it, I have just received a marketing email from Tuffnells to ask “How did we do” and asking me to do a review, well this is it. So now it is Saturday 23.04.22 DX arrived at 8.55 this morning, the driver was great no problems, no dents, no damage. Forget before 12 noon this is before 9am Brilliant!!

DO NOT USE THIS COURIER!!! Waited in all day for my underlay to come cancelled all plans I needed to do and never turned up and my parcel has not arrived!! I was checking the tracking every half hour and just kept saying out for delivery then went on the tracking to track my parcel at 8pm and now it’s saying it’s been delivered! I haven’t received anything so your drivers are lying! I’m now having to sleep on the sofa with my 2 year old daughter because I couldn’t put my carpets down as you failed to deliver my parcel and now claiming you have delivered it when nothing has arrived! No live tracking to tell you where your parcel is or what time it would come and can’t contact anyone as they don’t answer your emails! Absolutely disgusting service! I’ve tried emailing 6 TIMES to see why they have lied about delivering my parcel and to see where it is and when it going to be delivered and they are useless don’t even get back in touch with their customers absolutely shocking service will never use tuffnells again!!

Initially waited a week for delivery only to be told there was a delay. Another week delay later advised it failed delivery even though it was never attempted. I reorder. Now 2 weeks later I am still waiting and they fail to give reason for this, so advised to cancel and reorder so third time lucky?

Having so many issues as Tuffnells stated they delivered my sofabed but NEVER! they have taken and signed it off themselves and now I am having so much issues on getting a refund.

Tuffnells is the worse delivery experience I have ever had! If I could leave zero stars I would. My shipment was due to be delivered on 7 December. Despite no driver turning up to my workplace (and CCTV can verify) I was notified that my consignment was delivered successfully and signed for by someone called 'Sam' there was even a copy of the signature. There was no delivery, no person called Sam. To make matters worse, Tuffnells Leeds depot will not deal with my complaint, they will only deal with a complaint from the sender - yet this is MY item that I have paid for, and that was in transit to ME! This package is vital to my business and yet Tuffnells are not interested. They could simply ask the driver but they won't! I have read dozens of reviews where falsifying delivery seems to be common practice - presumably when they cannot fulfill their obligation. Even YODEL perform better than Tuffnells. In future if any supplier to my business uses Tuffnells, I will not use them. I have no option now but to go to trading standards / small claims court. No wonder Tuffnell's is being sold off! If you are a business thinking of using Tuffnell's I would think again as you will lose custom without a doubt and be inundated with complaints, not to mention having to send your goods twice or more to replace lost items!

I booked tuffnells through interparcel, and the item is a week late. Neither interparcel or tuffnells could care less, and just repeat the tracking. They refuse to give a refund for the item or breach of contract, and as of Monday there will be a county court writ for loss against them, as they booked the 'service'. Their customer 'service' is a joke, as is tuffnells who claim ‘road closure’ when they claim to be unable to take it out on delivery. I am surprised they are still in business as nothing they do or say is true.

Tuffnells don’t deserve 1 star but I cannot leave 0 stars. A one day delivery service is over a week late, and still no update. They will not talk to the CUSTOMER to who they are delivering. They continue to accept packages knowing full well that when they accept the order they will not fulfil the service level that they are being paid for. A deceitful, excuse of a company whose management should be held to account. You cannot leave a complaint. Their head office phone number is disconnected. A shoddy company that does not deserve any custom. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Terrible! My goods were damaged. After chasing them up for 4 weeks I am due to receive £25 compensation for the £300 of goods taken by them. Shameful. Tuffnells were contracted by Interparcel to deliver my parcels, but took them instead. Reference given was provided by Interparcel.

Paid for express delivery on a business package. One week later the parcel is still not delivered. I've had to call every day since I booked the package to chase collection and delivery. Tuffnells seem unable to be able to do anything about this or even give me a reason as to why they haven't delivered. I am now out of pocket as I have refunded my customer.

Claim to have delivered a parcel on tracking but photo shows delivery was 'fail other' and 'no time'. You might expect them to attempt a redelivery, but nothing. On finally getting through by phone (after much hanging on and disconnections) they will not do a redelivery unless the sender requests one even though they have not actually attempted even one delivery. Also 'the manager will say the same'. After several days of trying to sort my delivery (and several others) the sending company gives up on useless Tuffnels and is remanufacturing my order (and others) and will send by another courier.

2 of 3 parcels dropped off. Driver said "depo was chaos and was surprised they could find anything in there". Waited for delivery, 3 days passed and no delivery so company had to resend item on next day service, that was 5 days ago, they said a card was left on the 14th but someone is always home (and no card), then they said it was out for delivery 15th, it didn't turn up on the 15th but then the tracking states it was delivered on the 14th. Company now re-chasing. The item isn't small by any means so it's unusual that it could first go missing then the 2nd time about the delivery, I asked if they had any proof of delivery or a card being left, of course they don't.

The worst customer service I have EVER experienced Turned up at my house with a parcel with absolutely no prior warning & obviously I was at work. I was unable to take the delivery the next day as my Mother's funeral & they refused point blank to wait an extra day. "Customer Service" refused to reply to my email / contact through the website & they just sent the item back for a refund. If you are a business looking for transport company, do not bother as you will have so many refunds. If you are customer, do not bother are they are rude, disgusting people who ignore you no matter what your situation. Take your business elsewhere!

This is a terrible courier. I ordered three mild steel angle irons from Metals4u. The package is 3 meters long and weighs 15 kg. This is not something one can get rid off without great difficulty. Yet somehow, Tuffnells manages to keep losing my order. After I ordered, my package was lost shortly after pickup from Metals4u, either on the lorry or in the collection depot. Nobody was concerned about this until I started asking questions about my order a week after dispatch. Metals4u then had to manufacture the angle irons anew. This time, the package made it all the way to my local Tuffnells depot. It was marked as out for delivery from 12/12 until 14/12, but no delivery attempts were made. I was home all this time due to Covid19, I have a ring doorbell and 2 CCTV cameras pointed at my front yard. There is no way I could have missed a delivery driver. I spent a few hours going over the CCTV footage and I am certain no delivery attempt was made. Then, during the night of 14/12 - 15/12, my package was labelled as delivered. I tried to contact Tuffnells, but they refuse to talk to customers. They have an email address where complaints can be filed, but if you do submit a complaint, you receive an autoreply that emails are ignored "due to covid19". Metals4u have informed me that Tuffnells has acknowledged with them that the package has not been delivered, despite the status on their track and trace system. On 15/12, they claim to have made a delivery attempt. No delivery was attempted at my address. Later, I found out they attempted to deliver my package at the wrong address, even though they have the correct address and postcode. Obviously, 3 meter steel bars are difficult to get rid off, so it is understandable that someone who did not order this would accept this package, especially when the final destination is not a neighbour. I write this on 16/12. At this point, nobody can confirm where the package is. Chances are they "lost" it again. The track and trace system still claims the package is "delivered". Clearly, this business is seriously mismanaged. To lose a very large and heavy item like mine, not once but twice, is very suspicious. It seems that drivers try to complete their work by getting rid of goods as fast as they can, irrespective of whether it has reached its final destination or not. Their track and trace system is designed to provide management the information they like to see, not data that is accurate. There is no customer service to speak off: customer service is outsourced to their clients. While Metals4u is a well-run, reputable business, they are unreliable because they use Tuffnells. If you are business considering Tuffnells for shipping, you should stay clear from them because your reputation will suffer. You will also have to deal with a significant number of angry customers. If you are a customer ordering goods, avoid companies that ship via Tuffnells because you may never receive your goods.
