Customer services and communication were shocking throughout with no one responding to help tickets and no other available method of making contact. Despite advertising at the time of order that stock was put aside and the plants that I had ordered were definitely available, one item was missing from my delivery, with no communication as to why, or when I might hope to receive it. Read all the reviews here before you part with your hard earned money! The description of the plants on their website doesn't live up to what you actually receive. I ordered a large expensive plant from them on 10th April & they took my payment immediately from my bank. I waited 4 weeks as they said they would take 5-15 days Working days to dispatch them & I allowed a little longer because of the Coronavirus epidemic. I order £123 worth of plants on 31 March 2020 and received an email two weeks later that the order had been despatched by next day courier. I waited for 5 days then contacted the Courier, who had no record of my order and post code and suggested I contacted Gardening Express - easier said than done!! I raised the 1st ticket, only to get an automated reply some days later saying that with regret .......!! I waited 7 weeks for a hydrangea to arrive, which in the present climate I accepted. After about 4 weeks I received an emailer-assuring me - ‘The good thing with positive side is that if you have plants waiting to come out to you, they will just be getting bigger and better on our nursery for the extra time they are here, as all items we have sold are sitting in stock on our nursery, so they are just growing on further’. A word of warning. This company does not have a telephone number and to contact them you have to raise a ticket enquiry, which then takes days to answer, then they just communicate with ‘bear with us’ then close your enquiry as resolved!!!! Such poor communication and customer service. I ordered on 10 April and still waiting. Have now applied to my bank for my money back. This company has many, many terrible reviews. Ordered 3 plants 5 weeks ago. All were in stock. Advised delivery 3-5 days although some were taking 2-4 weeks due to Coronavirus. 5 weeks have passed now, no updates, no communication, no reply to my emails or tickets and no other way to contact them. All the plants I ordered are now out of stock so have no way of knowing whether the order will ever turn up. And Gardening Express are completely ignoring my requests for an update. Same here - 5 weeks no responses or acknowledgement. They claim On social there was a peak in orders - perhaps they should have taken a lead from the many other businesses that limited website visitors and orders. It seems Incredibly greedy! Yes it’s a tough time for all of us, yes we expect delays and difficulties - but just continuously blaming Covid 19 for your Sheer incompetence is not acceptable!

I understand they may have problems with covid going on but contact customers to give at least a date but to hear nothing and no phone number and no reply to emails from their own enquiry service does not instil confidence. I have received good from 2 other garden centres I had to wait a while but they kept in contact. Gardening express continue to accept unlimited orders and bank the cash immediately. Other gardening suppliers are limiting daily orders in order to keep up with demand. No doubt this is restricting business but is the honourable way to behave. Gardening express have literally thousands of orders received that they haven’t supplied. I ordered on 11th and 18th April. I do not think this company has plants to sell. If they were reputable they would have telephone contact. Avoid at all costs. I ordered in April they cancelled it and then reordered it. No written explanation.
