Ssx 3 the third instalment of EA snowboarding franchise and a port of from the consoles bigger brothers and does it match up....... overall i would have to say yes.
GAMEPLAY: It's quite amazing how much of the original content they managed to cram into the little cartridge. All the three mountains are present and on each mountain is numerous events freestyle, racing and halfpipe courses so alot to choice in gameplay and the courses are impressively long and varied. The career mode allows you to conquer the mountain by winning numerous events against the AI characters as you progress you can increase your players stats and buy other boards and clothing for your player which has all been successfully ported over successfully.
GRAPHICS: They do a good job of 3D rendering with some good detailing on the courses and quite good character models. The draw distant is quite good and the frame rate is so so but could have been a bit smoother.
SOUNDS: This is where the game really shines the soundtrack is superb and sound effects are clear and crisp so put on those headphones and crank it up.
CONTROLS: This is the only negative the controls are ok but they do feel stiff and delayed which can get frustrating when trying to land a trick but after a bit of practice it can be overcome.
OVERALL: SSX 3 is a good game and great way to take your snowboarding action with you. So do recommend :) :)
