We expected a small outdoor museum with a handfull of exhibits and a small entrance fee.
What we found when we arrived was a FREE attraction, consisting of four large aircraft hangars (some purpose built), and a visitor centre. The hangars are packed full of all types of aircraft large and small, rockets & bombs, wartime artifacts, RAF memorabilia and much more, even some tanks.
All of the displays are well laid out and brightly lit. I was quite surprised by the cleanliness of the enitre place and the friendliness of the staff. There is a learning area where kids can get hands on with things, there is a snack bar, cafe and museum shop, toilets and lifts.
We skimmed round the place without spending too much time in one area and it still took us over three hours to get round.
Unbelievably there no admission fee, only a small pay & display fee for parking.
Overall it is well worth a visit, I'd thoroughly recommend it.
