Peru Inca Trail

Absolutely loved Peru, it's a fantastic country with so much to see and do. I'd never taken a group tour before so I was a bit nervous about how I'd get on with everyone, but it was a really nice mix of people from all over the world, mostly Aussies, British and Irish, but also some Croatians in there as well, which made conversation interesting! Our tour leader was Peruvian and very attentive and helpful, especially for the poor lady who got ill after her flight, and he helped us find the best restaurants everywhere we went. The Inca Trail was a real highlight, lots of amazing alpine scenery and I even saw my first hummingbird. It was just hard enough to be a challenge but not hard enough to beat me or the 50+ year old engineer who powered it the whole way. Lots of support from the porters who carried all of our stuff and setup camp before we arrived - their hard work and cheery smiles really made our efforts feel a bit pathetic actually! Overall loved the tour, wouldn't hesitate to recommend Peru or Tucan Travel.
