Chigo Airconditioner
I bought four Chigo Air-conditioners 7 years ago for which air-conditioning centre is a distributor. The Chigo air conditioners were used on an average of 2 hours a day during 3 months of winter. The air conditioners were periodically serviced .One of the air-conditioners which was hardly used 20 hours a year , the coolant piping joint to the compressor split inside the outside unit and all the coolant escaped to the atmosphere . The compressor was burnt and the outside unit became useless. This shows very poor quality control for Chigo . The normal life of an air conditioning unit is 15 to 20 years. I have Hitachi and Daiken and Mitsubishi working and extensively used for over 15 years without any issues .
I was tricked into buying the Chigo as it was advertised with Toshiba Logo claiming it has Toshiba compressor , now it is advertised with Panasonic Logo claiming that the current model has Panasonic compressor so not be deceived by Panasonic name in the Ad and do not touch a Chigo , it is better to spend £50 /- extra and buy another make which will give you trouble free service for 20 years . Many companies even give 7 years warranty. The reason I have given 2 stars and not one is because air-conditioning centre was responsive but the fact is that Chigo is a product of poor quality. You have to be very keen while dealing with the High Efficiency Furnace Condensate Drain. The clogged condensate drain line can be treated in many ways.

I Bought An Easy Fit Air Conditioning Unit Almost
I bought an easy fit air conditioning unit almost 2 years ago. Since then it has been a pleasure to have in my home. I had a problem with it last year so i gave cooleasy a ring to see if they could help and their customer service was exceptional. Couldn't have asked for a better service from anyone. The only thing that put me off was the yearly service and getting an engineer out to make sure it is working fine, but i got put in touch with an excellent engineer who is always friendly and happy to come out and take a look at my unit.
I bought 4 Chigo air conditioning units 6 years ago , I had minor problems initially which was sorted by the distributors , the air conditioners are used on an average of 2 hours a day during winter time . One of the Chigo air conditioners which was not even used 2 hours a day had the joint to the compressor piping burst and all the coolant escape to the atmosphere. The compressor also burnt and the outside unit became useless. Normally average life of an air-conditioning unit is 15 to 20 years with minimal attention, I have Hitachi and Mitsubishi units which are running for over 15 years without any problems. The distributor tried to replace the Chigo unit at 80% of the installed cost but my confidence in Chigo unit is totally gone, I will never touch a Chgo unit again. It is better to spend an extra £100 /- and have another make which are invariable fit and forget.
