Very intuitive, I will recommend a friend. Verify that when current market value is less than 0.95N, the system trade value is out of money. Verify that when the current market value falls between 0.95N to 1.05N, the system trade value is near money. Verify that when the current market value is greater than 1.05N, the system trade value is in money.

“I bought Norton IS 2010 a year ago with the 3 PC...”

★☆☆☆☆

I bought Norton IS 2010 a year ago with the 3 PC protection option which I thought was great value for money at the time. However when my subscription came up for renewal I immediately looked at what deals Norton were giving through their site and found a 2 year security package for £44.99, this still protected 3 PC's. I thought great!! I decided to take this option us but when I went through the renewal process the system would not allow me to renew by card and instead gave me the option of paying by bank transfer/cheque.

I thought that the easiest way was to do a transfer directly to them and would have thought to receive confirmation of renewal within a few days. 14 days later my subscription hadnt been confirmed. I contacted Norton through their online chat, to be told that they hadnt received my payment and that there was nothing they could do.

Annoyed I asked to be put in touch with a Supervisor, only for them to say exactly the same. I asked that the order be cancelled and the monies immediately transferred only to be advised that the process would take 3 - 5 days which I accepted.

A further 2 weeks have gone by and still no monies have been refunded. Contact made again to Norton only to be told that they cant tell me anything about the monies and I should contact my bank. My immediate response was that this was unprofessional and that I wanted to speak to someone in Higher Management at Norton. The senior analyst told me that I would have to wait 24 - 48 hours for a Higher Management Supervisor to look at my file and they would call me back.

My honest opinion is that I will never ever go to Norton for Internet Security if that this the way they wish to treat their customers.

Previously i have been using free versions of anti-virus software and i have tried a lots of different ones and none was so much satisfying. As i am a student, i do not afford to buy a professional version. Thus when i brought my new note book, i have got a professional version of Norton Internet Secuirity 2010 for free as a promotion. The changes i have noticed are enormous. Now my system is more secuired. And i am happy with it.

“I have previously avoided Norton products for years...”

written by allan65 on 12/02/2010

I have previously avoided Norton products for years due to them slowing the system down. Tried Norton Internet security 2009 as I had a free trial and was so impressed that I went out and bought numerous copies and installed it on every family members computer. When Norton Internet Security 2010 was released I was pleased to see it had been improved even further. Installs in under a minute. Have never had a problem with it blocking legitimate software. Detects and cleans viruses instantly in real time. So light on system resources that you can hardly detect it running, even on a low spec laptop. It has many useful features in addition to anti virus including network features and disk optimization. My only complaint is that if you renew your licence key before it expires you lose the remaining days from the previous licence.

“Bought this half price from PC World just after...”

★★☆☆☆

written by madmarchare on 03/01/2010

Bought this half price from PC World just after Christmas.
It was that or Kapersky, but for half price.......
Anyway;
In all it was a doddle to install and the features were all I wanted, easy to access and use. That was up until I turned off my computer for the day.
After that, things went downhill. On computer startup, I had a "ssvchost.exe error" window pop up: when I went to access Norton I found I could no longer use the shortcut icon or access through the program file path, each time "this shortcut has been changed or modified ,so will no longer work"
This glitch manifested itself when the computer was also put into sleep and hibernate mode.
In the end, I had to take my computer back to PC World, where the tech guy nodded straightaway and told me it was a common Norton bug, which could only be resolved by using the Norton removal tool on the internet, and reinstalling the software.
So I did this as instructed, and reinstalled.....all went well till I switched off computer for the day, then guess what??????
I figure I have uninstalled/reinstalled Norton about a dozen times now.
I know it was working as my Windows security system told me I was protected by Norton.....
There are a few forums which show this is a common problem with Norton in computers using XP/Vista/7.
I eventually went back to Mcafee and now I can switch off my computer knowing the software won't give me any problems.
So if you want Norton 2010 to work properly and not mess itself and your computer up, either leave your computer on constantly, or better still, get some other software which works.
