I Had A Really Enjoyable Evening At The Cobden Clu
I had a really enjoyable evening at the cobden club and really enjoyed watching this band, Was confronted with some Chris Isaak like guitar and vocals from the seriously hot Joseph James. His band were super cool, loved the double bass and the violin was beautiful on the coutry blues song at the end.

A Really Interesting Band, Their Set Moved From Co
A really interesting band, their set moved from country blues, to surf rock, to latin and then back to country blues, complete with violins and double bass. I really enjoyed the folk blues stomp, Morris James and the final track in the set, Ordinary World. The music was slightly loose as was to be expected considering it was the first time they had played live together, but they will only get better as their busy schedule of upcoming gigs solidifies them as a unit. Very cool music, well worth a listen on myspace as will the EP when it is released in April. Will look forward to catching them live again in the not too distant future. www.thelostsocietymusic.com

A Real Surprise To Hear Americana Done So Well. Th
A real surprise to hear americana done so well. The Lost Society played a set that was refreshingly relaxing after a hectic day at work. Catchy and moving songs such as "Wait For The Summer" and the lustful vaudevillian number "Hot Tango Fever" make this a really interesting act and not just a one trick pony. Frontman Joseph James' guitar skills were something to be truly admired especially on the Flamenco Improvisation halfway through the set, Ben Hillyard's virtuosity on the double bass made the group all so exciting to watch and a guest appearance from all rounder Pete Lucas, with guitar on "Wait For The Summer" and "Lonely" and Sax on "Wild Saxophone" was an inspiration. The venue was perfect, with enormous leather sofas to sink your self into and room at the bar to swing your hips during the more upbeat numbers.
