I spent 4 nights and 5 days with my wife and two children on the Louis Olympia. We embarked o n Mykonos and disembarked in Santorini. All the ports of call were Excellent! We saw everything we wanted! The food was absolutely disgusting. Although it all looked good it tasted terrible. I would put it on par with a college meal plan. Plenty to eat but poor quality. My wife and kids couldn't wait to leave the ship each day in order to get some food. The staff is all right. Some snobs but overall courteous. The last criticism is the time it take to disembark. Disorganized and extremely long. Too much wasted time. They overbooked the ship. If you want to see great sights and lose weight doing it then this is your ship!

I sailed with louis olympia last week to greek islands. First the schedule seems really good but when i starte ny journey i realized that it was horrible. I started my journey from kusadası. 1.day Patmos island 2.day Rodos 3.day Girit+Santorini 4.day Atina+Mikanos 5.day Kusadası For example it seems that you visit 2 island in one day but ship leaves you to island at 7 o clock in the morning, means that everwhere closed and nobody is in the street. Than i understand that they stop in these islands to take new passengers. Also in athens we can barely visit the city without getting of the car in 1.5 hour. Another thing is; tour organizers try to make you buy a tour. They say : in patmos and in santorini they have to use smaller ships to transfer people to islands since either island ports are small for ship or not appropriate to stop. So if you buy a tour you will be the first to get in the boats If you won't buy it means that you will wait approximately 45 minutes in arrival + 45 min. in departure. So in schedule you have 4 hours to visit an island. If you dont buy tour it means you have 2.5 hours left. I am trying to say that if you really wanna see a greek island don't prefer Louis Cruise. (No swimming, no eating, no time) But if you want to spend time on ship they are moderate.

Quality and selection of food (breakfast and lunches) was terrible. The state of cabin was a total disappointment - furniture and bathroom, lack of hot water, linen old and discoloured. Drinks were served after we had finished our meal. Quality of coffee the worst I have ever tried. We will never choose either a cruise or an hotel under the Louis flag.

Sailed on the Cristal. Limited amenities. Dated, depressing and in need of repairs. My 19th cruise and by far the worst. Good itinerary. Poor value for the money.

Awesome cruies for the money paid. This was my first experience of a cruise ship and I am booked to return on two cruises with Louis for 2010. The excursion desk was really helpful even though I did a DIY trip each day. Food was high in quality and quantity. The onboard daily program was very good too. Looking forward to returning.

Nightmare!! Noisy!!!! wrong cabins at 2 opposite sides of ship. Tickets wrong and at last minute (got at airport!!) The lack of recreation for teenagers, no quiet lounge / library for those wishing a quiet read
severe lack of public toilets outwith cabins.
The air conditioning in the public lounges was so cold that some had to sit in their outdoor clothing to remain warm, despite many complaints this was never adjusted even when weather was severe.
The vessel, to my mind, was totally inadequate for the 2 week cruise that we booked although the printed itenary looked so inviting.
Everything, entertainment, menu's excursions etc appeared to be geared to 1 week cruises at best, as the second week was just a repeat of the first apart from the ports of call.
The swimming pool could at a push hold 6 adults and was about six strokes long. Sunbathing ended in soot all over you.
Food, entertainment and crew were very good.
