One Of The Best (i've Ever Seen)

Sherlock Holmes is simply one of the best movies out there. Not only the great storyline but also the teriffic acting of R_obert Downey Jr. and Jude Law make the movie one of the greatest (at least 4 me).

The magnificent sense of humour and plenty of clever jokes mixed with a lot of action take care that you won't be bored at any time during the movie.

I highly recommend this movie to everyone who wants to enjoy some action paired with deliberated jokes.

Entertaining, No Doubt! I Really Enjoyed The Movie

entertaining, no doubt! i really enjoyed the movie.

my interpretation of sherlock holmes' character is a little different than protrayed in the movie, having watched all of the tv series starring Jeremy Brett, but i guess that is neglegible.

overall, i would say the movie was much fun!

Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes At First Glance Fill

Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes at first glance filled me with a feeling of unease. With critical flops like Rock 'n Rolla and the confusing Smoking Aces I thought Ritchie had no more tricks up his sleeve after thrilling us with Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch but I was wrong.

Robert Downey Jr excels in the guise of Sherlock Holmes, bringing alive the analytical and logical genius whilst highlighting the more hedonistic aspects of the Baker Street detective. Perfectly foiled by Jude Law who is developing an impressive CV of great performances (the remake of Sleuth being particularly good). Gone is the stuffy, serious Holmes and Watson replaced by a pairing who complement each other and this partnership really works.

Full of action, witty dialogue and spectacular looking backdrops of Victorian London; the film really shows how much Richie loves Arthur Conan Doyle's creation and has in turn made a film that I really enjoyed and wholeheartedly recommend. Put aside any preconceptions you may have about Guy Ritchie and enjoy.
