Sun Palace Hotel, Faliraki

Mixed views with this hotel which we visited in July 2009 and booked with First Choice (part of the Tui group). Great pool and pool-side area. The entertainment staff worked very hard with lots of activities. Food choice was mediocre, and could not get on with chilled red wine! Good soft drink variety though. We were forced to stay outside the hotel on our first day/night because of overbooking or bad organisation. The hotel receptionist was very rude when we said this was not what we paid for. We complained to First Choice / Tui on our return but they didn't want to know. We will never book our holidays with them again, they do not care about customers in the same way the old thomsons firm used to. First Choice just want your money it seems. The local beach was great but there were big rocks in the sea at the edge of the water hence no kids in the sea. Best to go towards Falaraki for better sea entry. A lot of local business and bars were boarded up due to lack of use. Rhodes old town and Lindos well worth visiting. Very disappointed.
