I eat at the Chop House several times a month. Perhaps I shouldn't because nearly every time I go I get frustrated by the service which can range from indifferent to rubbish. Occasionally it's very good but that's more the exception than the rule.
I eat here because it has the most beautiful location in London - right at the foot of Tower Bridge and on the river front. I normally go for Sunday breakfast when it's quiet and there are only locals eating there. They do a great line in English breakfasts from Full English to giant doorstep bread sausage sandwiches. They also do a good three-course Sunday lunch deal.
If it's nice out it's hard to get a table but otherwise there shouldn't be a problem. The food quality is generally very good and focuses on fresh British ingredients generally using lots a seasonal vegetables and meats including game.
A great place for a smart/casual brunch with friends and family. But if you get frustrated about slow service maybe one to avoid.
