Piece of junk, returned it within a week. Downloaded latest DB and then went for a drive deliberately past 3 camera sites (on a 130 mile journey). Missed all 3.
Conclusion on the DB is that it's no good.
also - when it did have a camera in the DB, it goes of within 0.5 mile of the site - i.e from about 30 seconds before the camera and for another 30-40 seconds after. No mute function means that this is a REALLY annoying device.
AVOID IT…

The database is hopelessly out of date which makes the unit next to useless. I bought this a few weeks ago mainly because of the free updates for life but I'm very disappointed.
For example, the alarm goes off over 50mph on motorways with a 70mph limit because there were road works there 5 years ago. It goes off at speed cameras that have long since been removed.
I guess you get what you pay for!
I would have givn it 0 in each category if I could. You may as well stick a Wethers Original on…

Bought this little chap last week after getting 3 points on my licence, first in 37 years driving! I only wish that i had heard about it before. It usually locates gps within 5 seconds and does everthing that it's supposed to. I'm at present trying to get the software that would enable me to see a complete trip using cartography. Someone mentioned that the free for life updates were only for 12 months, this is not tue, it is free for life. I would certainly recommend this to someone… Read Full Review

Having fallen foul of 3 cash cows in 3 years (cameras cynically deployed to generate revenue from ordinary motorists who wander over unrealistically low speed limits by a few mph) I decided to invest in some protection. The Inforad K1 interested me because it was (a) small, (b) cheap (£40 offer in Halfords - I wouldn't have paid full price!), and (c) camera updates were free for life.
The gismo comes with a multi-lingual instruction leaflet, small snap-in cradle you can stick to the dash, and…
