“13 years and still going !!”

★★★★★

written by bunty21 on 21/03/2014

bought new 2004 2.0 hdi passed every mot until 2014.original michelin did 55000,budget replacements on front did only 15000, one set of pads and discs.fuel pump at 50000 replaced, dont let the main dealers mislead you its quite easy with a competent person handy with tools.failed the last MOT on suspension strut at front,(pot holes and speed humps me thinks).i have driven to spain over the last 7 years without a problem.milage now at 800000 i can only describe my car as ultra reliable, very comfortable, economic 47 mpg, cheap to insure £140 fully comp,go and find one now,you wont regret a low milage car

“Strange car the picasso ! bought ours as a second car...”

★★★★★

written by on 08/12/2010

Strange car the picasso ! bought ours as a second car and ended up keeping it and gettin grid of the more expensive car when we only needed one.
Its just sooo handy! handlings not great but its a French MPV, great MPG for its size ( 45 local 55 long runs) and I dont spare it!
so many cubby holes you can loose stuff. Ultra comfy - 300+ mile journeys are a joy - Ive had XJ jags and top end Audis worse for long journey fatigue.
Its no looker but its like a faithful dog, we just cant get rid - servicing is cheap and its been reliable - change the oil regularly and the 8v hdi will oulast a lexus !
Would we have another, damn right - at the prices they are the best family car available !!

The perfect family car! Mine has cruise control, privacy glass on the rear windows, independently folding rear seats, masses of room when seats folded and averages about 42 to the gallon for normal day to day running around and it was great in the snow, (which I was concerned about after owning a Freelander) it coped brilliantly - what more could you ask for!

“I love this car. ”

★★★★★

written by PeterTheRock on 28/02/2010

I love this car.
It's the best car I have ever owned and driven since 1975.
It's so well thought out. I believe the designers must be driving these cars, and it maybe part of their hobby.
It has all the extras I am ever likely to need and more.
My manager bought one for work, and his wife loved it so much, he also had to buy one for her.
At church, the number of Citroen Picasso owners is growing, 5 so far.
I would buy a new one tomorrow, if I could afford it.

The Picasso is our family car, it's very spacious for passengers and has ample storage space. We've driven long and short distances and found it to be economical on diesel. W've never regretted purchasing this car and would purcahse one again.

The Citroen Xsara Picasso Exclusive 2.0 HDi are possibly the best family cars on the market, the 2hdi engine is great, avoid the 1.6 d (underpowered). More extras than you can shake a stick at, a genuine good value family car. Great Value, excellent comfort.

All in all an absolutely brilliant motor! Buy one! So reliable. So comfortable. Cheap to service (avoid Citroen dealers.... bit of a ripoff) Well built. Great paint job. Bags of space. the 2.0 HDI Diesel goes like a bullet! Great MPG. Had a Renault Scenic diesel before this......absolutely no comparison. My Scenic 'died' at 106,000 miles after a full service history!

★★★★★

written by phamer on 03/04/2007

The Picasso has met our needs for a family car that is comfortable, economical and above all reliable. This is our second Picasso in six years and between them we have driven not only in the UK but also to Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark and Sweden and all without a single fault. The only replacement parts we have had to fit have been tyres, brake pads and discs and the occasional bulb in a total of 90,000 miles. Can't fault that! Excellent vehicle. I only hope the new Grand C4 Picasso Exclusive 2.0HDi that I am waiting to take delivery of is as good - it looks tremendous!

★★★★★

written by Ice Pick on 21/09/2004

Over the years I have had quite a few cars and raised a family of two children and had several dogs, but back then there was no such vehicle as the Citroen Xsara Picasso Exclusive 2.0 HDi people carrier, how did we manage without this fantastic MPV I don't know.
Now that we are older and in our middle 50s and I have retired you would think that I would not need a MPV but you would be wrong, not only it is good for transporting our Grand children of which we have 4 now the latest came on the 16th sep 04 but for all those other things that you need a MPV for like the weekly shopping trips to the local supermarket and to the local DIY places, beleive it or not, I have had over 70 house bricks in the boot as well as bags of sand & cement which I would have not been able to carry in my last motor.
To sum this Fantastic MPV up I would say it's an all rounder of a vehicle, strong of build and a great drive, the grand kids love ridding in it..and we love the Digital dash..and the Leather seats.

Well done to citroen for this- fantastic job!
:)I think that if you are a person with a family (kids especially) this car is made for u. Or if you have a LOTTA friends! Like me- then it is also good!
I think this car is stylish but if you check out the prices- it should be priced @ double that- but anyway do I care?
Heck no!
The car's great- if you are a working individual with kids who you need to transport to-and-fro this is your car- also great for long distances if you travel a lot!

★★★★★

written by silgo. on 12/05/2003

It is a car with high level of visibility, easy to drive at high speed, enough space for five persons and their luggage, compared with other cars as Renault Scenic or Nissan Tino, as they are called in the spanish market. Other cars as Opel Zafira have a similar concept but not so elegant. The rest of competitors are smaller in all aspects. When driving agresively this model is quite noble and its reactions are predectible.
