Do Not Buy Aeg Dishwashers. Mine Broke Down A
Do not buy AEG dishwashers.
Mine broke down after 11 months of light domestic use.
Completely broken (heating element does not work).
This is totally unacceptable for a 600 euro (800$) machine.
Now I must live without a dishwasher for over a week and take a full day off of work to wait for the repairman to come (probably two days off work as he will probably not come with the replacement part the first time).
My parents had a dishwasher that worked for 20 years, why is it so hard for today's manufacturers to make the same quality as before?
Perhaps makers like AEG are building in breakdowns on purpose?
In any case save yourself the misery, buy another brand.
What a stupid review based upon one item! These are made in the same factory as Bosch and any manufacturer can get a bad one from time to time!

The Aeg Favorit F50870m Is The First Dishwasher I'
The AEG Favorit F50870M is the first dishwasher I've owned and it's fantastic. Incredibly quiet, has great storage and adjustability, washes brilliantly (cleans a full roast dinner including oven trays on a 36 minute quickwash) and looks lovely. Only caution would be that it is bow-fronted so does extend out from the profile of the kitchen units a little - don't position it where you always want to be standing.
