I Purchased A Winchester Wps1200 Digital Piano Fro
I purchased a Winchester WPS1200 digital piano from the iMusician website. Winchester digital pianos are only sold through the Dawsons music chain (which includes the iMusician website). I chose the Winchester rather than a Yamaha because I thought the cabinet/wood quality was superior. However, when I assembled the piano I noticed that there were white/bloom marks all over the surface of the wood. I called iMusician and they assured me that it was a one-off and agreed to replace it. When I opened the second piano that two had the same marks all over it. iMusician would not even offer a samll discount on a replacement Yamaha despite all the inconvenience caused so I requested a refund. Apart from the poor cabinet quality the other things I did not like about the Winchester WPS1200 were
- Poor sound quality and hissing noise from speakers when sound turned up to required volume.
- Headphone sockets located on rear of piano mean that you have to pull it away from the wall and fumble around in order to plug the headphones in.
- No separate volume control for metronome meant that it was deafening when the volume was set to normal playing level.
