My Sister And I Went To The Three Horseshoes Pub T

My sister and I went to The Three Horseshoes pub today for a girls' lunch. From the minute we stepped through the door, the ambience and service were impeccable. The lunchtime specials are all on boards and whilst the prices are higher than your usual 'pub grub', this is reflected in the superb quality of the fresh, mainly locally sourced ingredients used. We both chose the cod and chips with homemade tartare sauce which arrived after a short wait, beautifully prepared, cooked and presented. At £10.50, this was top quality food and was absolutely excellent. We loved the gorgeous, creamy homemade tomato ketchup! No squeezy bottles or nasty, fiddly tear-open sachets here! The restaurant area has a classy but relaxed and friendly atmosphere and there is a lovely garden to sit in on sunny days. Attached to the pub there is also a shop selling locally produced food and drink, although we didn't have time to explore it fully today. All in all, fabulous food, fabulous service and a cut above the usual pub-with-food experience without being snooty, pretentious or intimidating. Highly recommended and we'll definitely be back!
