I Was Thouroughly Disappointed With The Drum Diski
I was thouroughly disappointed with The Drum Diskin album. It's a shame that what was once such a pinnacle group of early nineties punk moved on to make this haplessly thrown-together and actually quite pretentious piece of garbage.
There was no real structure to any of the songs, and no real thought about vocals or melody, it's been made just too experimental. Being a fan of China Drum I wanted to be quite biased and try to like it even if it was rubbish. But the truth is, I couldn't find a lot TO like about it.
The album had one up side, but nothing to get excited about; the first track 'HK' had a decent intro, with a catchy guitar riff. But it was a crescendo wasted with the song leading you into a 40-minute session of ear-torture.
Even if you're a massive China Drum fan, I really do recommend you steer well clear of this one.
