I have had a subscription for a couple of years, but recently stopped renewing due to considerable left bias. I want all sides equally represented. The Week does not do this. The vast majority of sources are left leaning like New York Times and Washington Post. They will sprinkle in an occasional Wall Street Journal and other right of center sources to lend some credence to their magazine, but these are the minority - and not even close. It’s too bad, because overall The Week is a good publication - but they are very slanted left. Another example is the cartoons, which run on average 80% anti-right. In summary: if you lean left, you will probably like The Week; if you lean right, go elsewhere (e.g. all sides.com).

Excellent magazine for someone who wants to keep abreast of domestic and foreign issues but lack the time to read multiple sources. There is a good mix of factual and opinion led articles and it always seems very balanced. It is perfect if you are someone who does not have the time to wade through daily papers every day but still wants to keep abreast of current affairs.

Excellent magazine for someone who wants to keep abreast of domestic and foreign issues but lack the time to read multiple sources. The issues are presented and commented upon from both sides of the U.S. political spectrum and even from foreign periodicals and newspapers.

The Week is a weekly magazine which publishes excerpts from all the main stories, articles and features from the British and foreign press.
I find The Week a very good read and an excellent way to get an idea of how all the main stories and talking points of the week are covered from each angle in the press. There is a good mix of factual and opinion led articles and it always seems very balanced. It is perfect if you are someone who does not have the time to wade through daily papers every day but still wants to keep abreast of current affairs. It is also useful to see how certain events, both national and international, were covered in various foreign media, which can often lend an interesting perspective.
