Archana Indian Cuisine, Belfast

An Indian restaurant with a very swish online menu and nice looking web site. I had heard very good reports about this restaurant and had to see for myself.

The staff are very pleasant and well mannered. It is nice to go out for a meal and feel valued by the people who serve you and you will not be disappointed here.

When ordering wine I was unable to select any of my first 3 choices as they didn't have them in stock. This despite the fact that the restaurant is only 4 Min's walking distance from an off licence (but alas they didn't seem to have the whit to take advantage of this fact). I ordered a set meal with several courses but was told that they had no deserts and I could have tea or coffee instead which I was never offered and would not have gone with the wine I was drinking anyway.I ordered a Evening Thali which sounded ideal, giving the option to taste several dishes. However the tray they were served on was like something you'd expect to find in a hospital or prison. I was less than impressed.All in all It was probably poor timing to attend this venue as they were having a few problems with stock and so on but I would have no intention of eating there again as there are definitely better restaurants in Belfast.
